IA will not be OP once Omega is here, due to the health/energy scaling and removal of enhancements.

^ Actually it would probably be EVEN stronger.

Because when you consider the fact robots scale with technology less then say defenses and other attacks improve with the stats.

This means as enhancements are removed and the total amount of stats has decreased, defenses will drop at a quicker rate then the robot damage since it also improves with focus.

This means overall robots will do more damage if you have a 5 focus build compared to other attacks and defenses. The fact it also costs more to have higher hp, means that those who spend the stats to have high hp will have even lower defenses which means the infernal android will either wipe out those with low hp when it gets to rage, or deal insane damage as you destroy the low defense high hp builds.

IMO robot damage would probably have to be nerfed in Omega.

And the IA robot would be fairer if it had a resetting special.

Do you really think a reset would make all the complaining about this bot stop? I doubt it highly. Anyone who is smart will just wait until it is fully powered and then boom blast you with it while using rage, fully powered, or last turn. Sure people will be using it less spammy, but it will still be OP even with a reset function. This bot IMO needs to be removed from the game and every's money refunded. It has been nothing but trouble since it was first introduced to the game. It is vastly OP and at this point not even a reset function would help it.

You often say to me removing things I think is oped is too drastic, so now I'm saying the same thing.

I think that infernal android needs a big change I agree that even a reset alone won't stop it from being very powerful.

However their is always some degree of nerfing that would do the trick.

how about:
- Resets and can't be used with rage.

-Can't be used with rage.

-Lower the max damage % and resets.

-decrease the starting damage, and lowering the max.

Or other combinations of the above nerfs.

From what I'm seeing, the most OP case for IA will be on TLMs. Considering boosters which work with TLM tankiness AND their reroute, boosters definitely superbuff the class. Otherwise, from what I can tell, TLMs would be one of the lowest-tiered classes, just above normal mercs. It could possibly be OP combined with BM and/or CH, but, if you tank enough to make the fights last long enough for IA to become powerful, then CHs probably can't get more energy to do anything after a certain point because of static's uber nerf. BMs typically finish their fights in 7-ish turns, making IA definitely not OP since by then it would do only a couple more damage compared to gamma bot. So, the main problem is just TLMs with boosters. Possibly changing TLM's skill tree to make their booster using less effective, but, in return, giving them more flexible offensive capabilities other than just using their bot would fix the "OP" problems of IA.

@ remorse

In this case it isn't just me who thinks this bot is OP. If you haven't noticed the topics complaining about this bot are numerous, and I am not the first person who suggested removing this bot from the game.

Several others thought this bot should have been a rare bot for the war and then removed when the war was removed from the game. I even heard an idea from a user saying that bot needs to reset no matter what attack you use (meaning you would have to give up the power of this bot if you used the normal attack or the special) Because he "didn't want his robot on bunker blaster steroids"

Personally while I know the idea was well intended it wasn't tested correctly, and to be honest with you modeling a bot after something that get more powerful and ignores your resistance more and more with each passing turn was something that shouldn't have been put into the game (since the laser is the only thing passing through your defenses.) also TBH I don't even think this made it through the balance team since even the staff said "they didn't intend on have the bot being this powerful" Cause if it went through the balance team I am willing to bet that they would have told them it was OP and needed a nerf then.

I agree mother,

I am shocked at what some things can get through testing.

The biggest of coarse being the first original TLMs.

Smoke, reroute, technician, hybrid, with an energy drain.

If I was asked to make a class as oped as I could using the current skills the old TLM would be even better....

Infernal android is another oped thing that has gotten through.

My guess is it will take a long time , but eventually it will get the sufficient Nerf it needs.

Unfortunately we have to suffer through the waiting period.

@remorse

If they made a story line about the IAs getting destroyed From Silas Auer (Which escaped from the Lawman) then that could be another way of nerfing that bot with a story line.

Then because the bot is destroyed, all of our bots could mutate into a rusted IA which has been weakened to its X power (Could be same as a gamma bot). Hope they make a story line like that ;D

-Silas Auer escapes
-Silas gets the legion army to make a huge bomb
-Silas comes back after X years and BOOM! The IAs are destroyed
-IAs mutate to a rusted IA
-IAs cannot gain damage anymore
-IAs is a normal bot like the rest

That would be one heck of a storyline.

^ I like the idea of a storyline to nerf something.
Could possibly give people better accepting to some of the nerfs.

However the infernal android should keep its current concept, making it like gamma bot would mean the gamma bot is no longer anything special thus downgrading the promo it was.

Infernal android is sold for credits, reasonably low amount at that.

If it gets rested my opinion is they should keep the current concept just a lot weaker then now and with more restrictions.

-starts at 70% instead of 80%
-caps at 130% instead of 140%
-Cannot be used with rage.

The above changes would make it far less abuseable without putting the gamma bot to shame.

Plus the main reason this bot is too powerful is its combination with rage.

I would be happy with its power if the above changes were made.
