Strength is just ridiculous, radically overpowering Support, Dexterity, and Technology.

Only Focus is close to Strength in damage, yet Strength overpowers Focus too.

You would be surprised that I would make this kind of thread.

Only that, or would swapping the cool-downs help balance this attribute? (STR)

Strength is always ridiculous, especially Mercs.

Drinde,

Might you be suggesting Sidearm with 3 turns in cooldown plus Auxiliary with 2 turns in cooldown?

That would lightly nerf Strength and lightly buff Support which is good and all, although, Strength is probably more important than health right now. Strength is calculated in 29 out of 72 skills (40%) [should be 25%], 6 out of 12 skill cores (50%) [should be 25%], it is the fastest producer of rage, fastest weapons (Strike with infinite usability), "element-seeking" with 2 weapons.

What we need to do is reduce Strength's monopoly in EpicDuel as a whole, and the damage and anything else overpowered from having to calculate Strength will naturally fall. I believe that removing the "element-seeking" is a more prevalent choice than ever right now.

We can see that the problem is also due to an imbalance between Strength and Support:

Strength: 2 weapons, unlimited uses

Support: 1 weapon, 3 turns cooldown

What would be more balanced is:

Strength: 1 weapon, unlimited uses

Support: 2 weapons, 2 and 3 turns cooldown

And Strength will still have more damage potential than Support, but it would be more balanced than it is today.

We have to change a few things if we make this possible of course. For 1, Deadly Aim has to flip. The Support requirement becomes a Strength Requirement, and probably improve the Auxiliary instead of the Sidearm because;

The Sidearm is improved by Deadly Aim because it is a supplement to Strength. If the Sidearm moved to Support, it would become the main weapon and the Auxiliary would become the supplement.

Therefore: Deadly Aim would require Strength and improve the Auxiliary.

Malfunction would improve by Dexterity (not Strength), to balance itself with Strength, but more importantly, be the sibling of Smokescreen.

Therefore: Malfunction would improve by Dexterity.

Technician would synergize with Malfunction though. But because Technician does not fit in the other stat buffers like Field Commander or Reflex Boost, which improve by Support, Technician would have to improve by Support too.

Therefore: Technician would improve by Support.

Still, Support already affects Critical Chance and Initiative, the latter which has a huge impact on gameplay.

Mercenaries that use Support as their stat-dump will get off a huge attack of their cannons, spread-fire gun damage with a high critical chance, and finally an artillery strike finishes the whole thing. Personally, I'd like to see Guns be improved by Dexterity, since its the only stat without a damage converter.

Critical Chance and Initiative

Ah right thanks for reminding me about stat perks.

I would have covered everything about the suggestion right away but I lost the data so I have to post everything about the balance issue from memory.

Because Support is like Strength, they will also need balanced stat perks.

Support can keep the chance to be critical, but rage gain should simply move over to Strength, and the chance to go first should move over to Dexterity, and the chance to resist stuns should move over to Dexterity. This even improves the balance between Technology and Dexterity.

Therefore: Support only perks critical chance.

I am interested in the idea of the Sidearm moving over to Dexterity or Technology for example, but Dexterity and Technology are defensive stats after all. And honestly Technology should have no role in Robot damage.

so str will improove aux primary and critical chance... you are giving it a buff not a nerf -.- if only u pistol to support everything is good but techmages but it would make a way more sence than giving str posibility to increase rage.

No no no, Strength would only improve 1 weapon: Primary. It would also improve rage gain.

The rage gain is almost insignificant since they are the fastest at rage anyways.
