 Nope, never even seen anything of the like before.

Never mind, just got it. I didn't see the varium on my character increase, though? Is there a way to redeem it?

I did get that mail. The suspicious part to me is the email address it's sent from: kraken@news.artixnews.com
the kraken part got me confused ...
I've asked some staff on twitter if it's a legit mail, but I didn't get an answer yet.

Until there's an answer, I wouldn't log into ED via the link in the mail, just to be sure.

 Basicball, it's legit. Otherwise why would I get random 250 Varium on my main? Along with other players? AQW did this very recently themselves.

i did get that email. i didnt even notice that i could click on the email to log into ED.
i just opened a window of my own and used my link to ED. 250 var is great if its legit.

Trans: ah right. I would've checked, but I don't know how many var I had to begin with.

SKY: there was 20K free var for Elites, 1K free var for founders, free var from selling mission items, free var from participating in the Ebilcorp war, free var from enhancements you had,...

aaand I'm out of this forum again. Just needed to check if this was a legit mail; which it was.

 20k for elites? I have never heard of such a thing... I've only heard about gifts for founder from founder appreciation day.

I believe there's a page on the wiki about occasions where free varium was given.

Enhancements refund werent free lol, you had to pay varium to upgrade first. oh yea forgot about the 1 k for founders, didnt participate in anywars since been away from the game for 4 years.

 Exploding Penguin. Elites got unlimited varium at the start of Beta but the Dev's had to build two servers more or less so they gave the elites 20K varium to make up for the fact that they lost their unlimited varium


I feel like a freaking walking history book for EpicDuel because that is all my memory seems to hold

 The e-mail that you made your account/have your account associated with. If you changed e-mails/made a new one since you made your artix master account, then you need to check the original one.

you had 2 have bought Varium in the first place to get the Free 250 Varium, But as this event has already passed u can't get the free varium.
