Today I have ran into several mercs, guess what build they were running! (Hint, it includes a ridiculous amount of support)

These several mercs started running their mouths about how people need to stop hating on them and that playing a support multi build takes a lot of strategy and skill.
I kindly reminded them that a support abuse build on a merc is fairly straightforward and not much thought is needed in order to use it.

They seemed to take personal offense to that and two of them then attacked me and my build and how it was over powered (Which I lol'd hard at, considering Im a BH using a sword, don't know when those have ever been considered overpowered, no abuse or nothing)

A lot of the veterans that are playing a support abuse merc (presumably for the tourney) have good attitudes, however I am running into a lot of these mercs that have absolutely terrible attitudes and act all high and mighty, and have a "Im smarter and better than you and you are a terrible player" kind of attitude

I haven't minded the support abuse from mercs, in 2v2 with a smart partner they are not hard at all to counter most of the time. What really grinds my gears is the attitude some players take when using these types of builds, the "win-machine builds"

Not asking for advice for what to do, but wondering if anyone else is noticing poor attitudes? (Definitely not every merc has this poor attitude, but the amount I am seeing is alarming)

I have, but when I was testing the Support Merc Build on my alt, I found many low levels who had mercs and other classes all friendly and stuff. But when I head onto my main guy(BH), many players are pretty mean. Some mercs even told me "Hahaha now you BHs are nubs now!" What happened in that gap between lower levels and higher levels? What made them change into hard and generally mean high levels?

I've had mixed interactions in the low levels with my alt, but at the level cap their certainly seems to be more "win-machine" trollers than before. And Im not sure how an entire class can all of a sudden become noobs, but I love being a bounty and I'm sure there are not a whole ton of bounty's on the yeti tourney leaderboard, but Im proud to support the bounty hunter class AKA best class ever!!

 I personally disagree with the common opinion that support merc is OP, and I actually have to agree with them about the fact that BHs are by far one of the currently overpowered classes. BH can gain a very strong win rate within a small amount of turns, although not as small as support merc. I think the major problem with hunters is shadow arts, because blocks play a humongous role given azrael's will, the increased usage of yetis, and the fact that shadow arts is unpredictable and fights are very often gambled on that boosted block chance. I have noticed multiple players when playing as a support merc who do have the bad attitude you mention, and rant about how the build is OP. Funny thing is, I lost to them 2/5 times, so I really don't have any idea on how that can be OP. The thing that differenciates players are the skill level. It's very easy to copy caster builds, support mercs, etc... However, only skilled people can correctly use caster and gain a very high win rate. Unfortunately, whether or not you're skilled and think strategically, a less experienced player can still gain the same win rate you gain when playing a build like support merc. This leads to the arrogant and inaccurate attitude that copying a skilled player's build automatically grants the ability to win majority of a player's fights.

I think that facing just 1 Support Merc would be fine by me, but two in a 2vs2 is much harder.

 I agree that when you fight 2 support mercs in 2v2, the current situation may be a little overpowered, but that's mainly because 2v2 is a lot of luck and less skill than in 1v1. 2v2, while not just based off of skill and level matchups, are also based off of build matchups and 2 support mercs work incredibly well to support each other and defeat the opponent. It's an unavoidable problem that can't be fixed unless support mercs in 1v1 were unfairly nerfed, sadly enough. I find using defense matrix in 2v2 really helps endure both artillery strikes; I used matrix before in 2v2 against 2 support mercs with 140-sih support, and I only took about a total of 30-40 damage from both artillery strikes combined (15-20 per artillery strike).

Im not sure where I said support mercs were overpowered or started ranting about them and I certainly don't think they are, and as a primarily 2v2 player, I do know that bounty's and blood mages are the two least played classes in 2v2. When I say "win-machine" it is intended to mean that many people run this build because it makes for quick battles and lots of crits. Support mercs speed up 2v2 battles immensely due to their glass cannon build. The point of the post is that the majority of the bad attitudes that I am experiencing in epicduel are coming from such mercs who are abusing support. I don't have a problem with support mercs, I dont have a problem beating them, I just have a problem with the attitudes a lot of them are carrying around on their backs.

And I might add that when they started defending their builds, I was on their side, it was in fact my partner who was making comments about support mercs being annoying. I told him to stop hating, it's their build and we just gotta outlast the multi's and it's smooth sailing from there.

I must be a fantastic player...

Kidding :) But seriously, they're not hard to beat, or at least not for us TMs. I find it funny how it's regarded the weakest class and yet we have by far the highest win rates.
Perhaps investing in mage is a good idea? Divert from the standard classes (Bounty Hunter and Mercenary) and try some new classes out.

On a side note, the joke is on the players who are using support. They have to swap to a build that works because they can't earn wins using skill.
You don't need to worry about these players :)

i Agree with you, im a tech mage , and have had to change my build just so i can resist longer against merc support "abusers" its really frustating specially if you have low hp, ul get killed within 2 turns

This is probably because support mercs are running rampant now. They expect to be partnered with a fellow support merc for thr fastest kill possible, so when they see any other class, their plans are slowed down (not necessarily ruined) and hence get uptight.

I hope you dont take offence, they are also victims of the new system. Personally, I get this kind of attitudes towards me too, so I just play along with them. Sad but true.

You think they are annoying in 2v2 with 2 of em? Try being a level 32 bh facing 2 level 26 support mercs in juggernaut. I dare anyone to take a video of you winning in that situation and post the link so I can see cause I GUARENTEE that you can't win in that situation. That's why I hate jugg so much. They are pretty much the only class I lose to. :(

Yeah, I run into these type all the time, even though I'm a Sup Merc myself I'm not arrogant. I remember before I became a Sup Merc I would go into 2v2 and get killed in 2 - 3 turns because of crits and the Merc would say" I. AM. BEAST. Bow down before me noobs!" it was really annoying.

While they definitely are not currently overpowered, this build here was disgustingly overpowered in its time.
