@Toffeuy berserk usually get a big chance of getting blocked -_- wasted energy.

Well, merc dominates in 2v2 because of the high amount of different offensive options which can be pulled off, but in 1v1 it isn't that great.

thats why I ditched STR merc, ever since the nerf of it, it turned into an ultra glass cannon class

@above:

only support builds seemed to work in 2v2

the support merc for 2v2, to get decent supp worthy of a good aux dmg, u will need to sacrifice alot of hp and defense in both elements, no joke, since the nerf of energy and supp, i havent been artillary struck once.one little energy drain and ur done....
in 1v1 i usually 2 shot supp mercs O.o.

do u even play the game? smoke doesnt effect u? sergical build? berzerker?

I have been asking about WHAT ABOUT EMP in the past 3-4 comments, and again what about emp, u cant sergical anymore, there is a 70% zerker blocked.
energy drains dont sacrifice a precious turn of the opponent... blood lust and smoke negates all that, dont forget all the wasted turns when getting blocked cuz of their SA....

For a kid who cannot even spell (or read), I do not want to you be interrogating me. "smoke doesn't effect u?", did I say that? No. I said it doesn't affect me that much, underlying implication being it affects me a great deal, but I have my ways to counter them.

"WHAT ABOUT EMP?" Read the exact same post I mentioned again, I explicitly stated my strategy of countering not only EMP, but also other energy draining skills. I enter a battle expecting an energy drain, as a result, it is often for me not to use surgical.

"u cant sergical anymore, there is a 70% zerker blocked", surgical is not necessary to win, and neither is zerk. Like I said in the mentioned post (yet again...) I really only ever use zerk when i'm not smoked, and when i'm not smoked, I have a higher dex than almost all BHs. Even yet, I can sacrifice using zerk and go for a second heal along with intimidate.

"blood lust and smoke negates all that", since when did bloodlust and smokescreen negate having to sacrifice a turn to use EMP. So you're saying if you're opponent is smoked, you get a free turn to use EMP?

"all the wasted turns when getting blocked cuz of their SA", well maybe a good idea is to not waste turns getting blocked by SA. Genius. Use unblockables. I use Frostbite very often, and I expect that to get blocked, so what? I expect that ~10 dmg to be blocked, and often I don't need the 10 dmg to win.

Go have a few battles and look around, how often do you get smoked, malfed, emp'd? I've been through all that yet I can manage over 90%, so it's a pretty far-fetched claim you're trying to make that I will be pretty much destroyed as soon as I encounter one of these.

I've had a look at other posts you've made, and they seem to all be unconstructive and have no evidence to back them up whatsoever. People like you fail to even make me angry, it really just makes me sad.

P.S. No you don't "usually 2 shot supp mercs".

Wow Toffeuy, you and I are the same. People keep posting things that were never mentioned.

As a defensive Class, its in the middle. The main issue is the attack. If Mercenaries are dominating the 2v2 battle mode, then its not much of an issue. Its doing great in one battle mode.
I don't see much Mercenaries around in 1v1, most are easily beaten.

@sky I didnt littrally mean 70% that's just how it seems, it might be statistically 20 but luck is always present.

Well as a mercenary i agree that this class needs a buff,or a debuf at some cores/items and at other classes skil (energy draining skills, that azrael gun core which is pretty annoying) but overall i'm doing fine as an 5 focus user in 1vs1 and i don't get why some complain about us (on both sides).Sure the emp grenade is very annoying and can destroy our build if you're smart enough you still can win (luck may be involved)

Here is my build, made first for the lvl 35 npc from infernal mine : http://i47.tinypic.com/jt1e2q.jpg but it works around for 1vs1 with a little strategy and as you can see i have a fine enough win ratio.


OFF TOPIC: i think that IA special should be unblockable and indeflectable since you can use it only 1 per battle.


As for the rest of the mercenaries that take the heat of the battles, games, loses and bad luck:

anyways, I like to maintain a 85-90% win rate, if i play 5 battles and i lose 3, then there is obviously a problem, but that's just me, and luck is never on my side ...

You are right, Mercs are not sitting ducks. A lot of people do exaggerate how underpowered the class is but the merc is nonetheless at a disadvantage upon mana drain and nerfage such as smoke and malf. Merc is not a sustainable class because you DO get hit w/ malfs and smoke often (lets just say) and if you get rage early, u will hardly live long enough to get rage a second time (hence why ppl are saying adrenaline is bad) because the other classes can replenish health faster, or nerf, which we all know is cheaper than healing.

If you get your mana drained, there goes a great deal of your abilities. For you, Toeffuey, that's no big deal because you have a lot of GREAT equipment. As for others, who missed their chance to get great equipment, they're kinda screwed in the sense that they dont have access to renewable, unblockable bot specials such as the Gamma Bot (oh how I love that bot)
