@drekon

So? They can still do 50 wins a hour with 70% winning. Their battles are too fast.

^ I can get 40-45 in the same time span with 80% win rate minimum and I'm confident other top level players can as well.

What are some solutions to this problem then? All we're doing is complaining left and right. We shoot down ideas that have worked in the past like npcs. We can't fix this without re-implementing npcs. Until we have a better solution, we can't move forward or fix this issue.

I may be missing something here but...what exactly is so wrong about a low level winning a Leaderboard? You could say that it's easier for them to do so but if you lose to a lower level or if you lose to a higher level, you still lost. It doesn't matter if the higher level who beat you didn't win by as much as the lower level did because you still lost either way. The leaderboards are there for players who want to get a large number of wins and unless there's a battle limit for anyone under level 30, you can't stop a new player who gets addicted to the game and decides to go all out on day 1 and wins the Daily LB.

But why not look on the bright side too?

- NPCing was the reason some people sticked to underpowered classes. Right now you are totally pushed to class change to the strong one.
- NPCing was the reason some people were still playing the game - not in a competitive manner of course, but still.
- NPCing was the way some people were keeping their position in a faction, by knowing exactly how much time they need for the daily win requirement.
- NPCing was a workaround for cooling down people upset on the balance and/or luck factors affecting gameplay balance.

THIS ^^

@beastmo, I appreciate your challenge but I don't intend to stay up until 1am my time to prove that to you. I did, however, battled from 11:04pm to 12:04am and got 41 wins out of 48 battles. Do the math and that turns out to be 85%. I humbly offer the following screenshots as proof.

#1 - Start of battling (11:04pm EST)
#2 - End of battling (12:04am EST)

You can also clearly see my build if you want to copy it, I don't mind. To be fair, 1 guy did flee the battle at the start so I guess you can say it's only 40 wins out of 47 battles. If I'm not mistaken, that's still 85%.

This was done on Epic and most of my opponents were highly skilled level 35s. I did face off with a level 30 who wiped the floor with me in only 3 turns, but I can't complain. Also, the time can clearly be seen in the bottom right corner of each screenshot. I hope this clears things up for you. I'm off to sleep.

The thing is, spam builds like maxed fireball work at low levels. Then as you level up, diminishing wraps his thin bony fingers around your throat and chokes you until you use a focus build :P

IMO nerf diminishing (just slightly to still avoid abusers) and everyone at any level has a chance at the LBs

Well as part of my recruiting technique, I tend to lean more towards lower levels. WHY?
-They get faster wins
-They are more loyal in most cases
-Since they are a lower level, they will fight harder to reach that level cap
-Being a lower level, you want to prove yourself so they fight harder.

Went to do some 2vs2 to prove how easy it is.
My result, i'm Zaphe.

This says enough of how easy it is as a lower lvl compared to capped players, doesnt it?

@blitzex
yeah it does. i already knew it was unfair.
however some people still believe that they put in more effort, so they use that excuse to say that its balanced/justify it.

@ND Mallet sure they want some shiny cheevos, but the problem is that high levels can't win a leaderboard now because in 1v1 low level battles last max 30 seconds, BUT a high level battle lasts from 1to 3 or 4 mins which is a big thing.

That would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work and a waste of time. Daily is supposed to be a winner overall not a winner at every level.

like i said it dfihfiooghsdh times: for people bellow lvl 30 and for people lvl 30 and above. AAAAAND i know mother 1 would go : "but when people get to level 30 their wins will get nulified and won't be fair" or something, SO when a player levels up to 30, he won't get to the 2nd part of LB, but stay to the 1st untill the reset.

Theres no point in separate boards. Only thing logical is too figure out a way to make lower level battles longer ( if possible)

@latin Exactly. I know Zaphe (2nd place today 2v2) is Blitzex's alt. :3

Yes, it is. My Alts are ridiculously OP: each with about 70-80% 2v2. My faction has a lot of lower level participation, and is 76%. In 2v2.
