I just am at a loss for words. I am a firm supporter of the game and respect everyone involved in the creative processes, balance updates, bug fixes, you name it. Perhaps it is because of this respect that I feel the desire, the need, to talk about the failure to fix the impact luck has on this game. Epicduel is a game based on strategy, but strategy can only have so much impact when lucky factors occur so frequently. The autonomy of the game is devolving from strategic to luck-based. I find myself constantly thinking, "well, if i get deflected here i lose/if i get blocked here i lose/etc", and not nearly as often "i wonder how i should counter my opponent's attack." We can see that the creators recognize luck as an issue from the implementation of the recently released lucky-factor-reducing cores, but I, along with many others, am looking for the solution. Why is the doctor giving a band aid to seal the gaping wound that can only be fixed by stitches? -The longer is waited to solve the problem the more blood loss (and player loss).
