OK, this one is a case of #BlameG00NY2013. Rabblefroth was going to drop the focus damage to +5 per focus level and slightly buff base damage. But let's look at the numbers 1st. At 5 focus damage was 30+11-15 (base damages for robots) that makes a robots damage 41-45 before you include the technology bonus. The current damage of an aux at level 35 is 39 for the same cool-down warm-up cycle so you can see that it had a 2- 6 damage advantage. This was then compounded by the fact that the technology bonus was also being combined to add resistance, whereas the other weapons required support or strength to improve damage. So you sacrificed defence and resistance to get power, this was not the case with robots. Effectively they were like equipping a level 42+ weapon in a game that has a level 35 cap at the moment. And speaking of the cap, the old focus formula had fewer options for going forward and 6 focus would never happen the way it was... So, the game can progress now and robots do damage that is comparable to your level. If that is wrong then I'll take full responsibility for it as I pushed Rabblefroth hard for this change. I don't like pushing Rabblefroth he's got those crazy eyes and scares me :P Anyway, move on and explore new builds with the way robots now work :)
