She won't make it to the finals, because they start in three weeks, and I won't be around to post then. Pity. Hopefully both of us will survive for next year. If all esle fails, we could just stage a fight among ourselves.

Anyone else notice that the three water chars are in the "very dry, uncomfortably dry" Cellar Arena? Yes of course that's how it's been, but I'm still calling DM conspiracy shenanigans.

Phoebe alone has escaped the terribly dry Cellar. I'm actually glad, since that means we'll get to see her, y'know, fight, instead of just flopping around uncomfortably.

Anyone else notice that there are 5 Darkness competitors, but not one in the Cellar? The RNG pulling some wierd shenanigans.

On a completely unrelated note.... Dang, Cellar. I was really hoping for Sky. Oh, well. Is'ira just going to have to tough it out.

It would be the height of mean to put her in the Cellar. She practically relies on water as her defense and offense, and if she were in the cellar, she would be skewered by me within seconds.

Why is it odd that no Darkness Characters are in the Cellar? What would they benefit from there?

No benefit, I'm just saying that with so many competitors, the odds that none of them are in the Cellar are very low. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's funny.

 The Sky is a fairly scarce arena. And yes, for darkness users like Aethian, a challenge no less.

Something tells me they didn't want any crazy advantages. Which is why there's no Water mages in the Fountain and no Wind mages in the Sky arena. I mean, I don't want to see someone flying around blowing my character off the stage. And it would be bad to see some Water or Darkness character using the Cellar for shade to fight with or blasting people with absurd ammounts of water, right?

Side note, mildly concerned about Skull Knight.... I probably shouldn't have put one of my funnest characters to write for in a tournament that potentially offers a cannotical perma-death.

Just to clarify: all Arena assignments were randomized, so the way the Arenas ended up is the will of the RNG.

 Sometimes randomized things come out better than you could have planned them. For instance, one time when I was over at the Terrible Crossover Fanfiction Idea Generator I got a combo of James Bond and the book 1984, with a character dying 2 days before they retire as the plot device.

With that being said, I'm glad I didn't end up in the Cellar Arena. >_> :3

Though there haven't really been any cases of this yet, I would like to highlight one the rules of the EC from the first post so that all remember it going forward. Consider this just a public service announcement.

 @dragonfire, it's perfectly fine to worry when a lot of skilled fighters armed with deadly weapons and skills plus their world-breaking powers come together at one place.
