@ dragonfire - You do know that, if you have to leave the competition, you can have your character leave instead of dying? The only situation in which a character is forced to die is if they get disqualified in a monumental way, such as for major bunnying or godmodding. Your character usually doesn't die unless you want him/her/it to.

They still die if they end up dying in the preliminaries and don't get selected for the finals right?

Yes, but they only die in the preliminaries if you make them. Another character can't kill yours without permission.

Sometimes characters die because of reasons. For instance, Tiure got stabbed. With a sword. In the side. Didn't take long for Mr. Wind Assassin to play to the crowd and chop off his head.

Usually nobody dies.

If you get yourself into a situation where there is no possible way to escape given your character's abilities and knowledge, you usually die. But you get to write the death post, so it does ultimately lie in your hands.

Unless you make the gods AKs angry. I am not responsible for what becomes of your soul should that happen.

Huh, I didn't know that. I just skimmed over it, since I planned on watching and learning, so I missed the "Doesn't need to die if he/she lost" part. I thought it was a mercy-type situation where it was up to the opponent (mostly).

As I said, just watching this one. I only feel like using my 1 OC, and if I do anything, I'd want the papers (the academy) to say I was legit, even though it isn't needed.

 I was wondering if we could add a sketch with our posts, just like some forumites like lordkaho used to do with their written works. Of course, it would count to do nothing more than visually clarify stuff if one cannot get what is written. Other than that, 0% contribution to the EC. RPing is, after all a form of entertainment, isn't it? Just one sketch max per post, though.

Can we do that if we wish to, TD or Ryu?

I realized that one of the rules, rule #3, had wording that could be misinterpreted. As such, it has been updated. I will also quote it here for convenience sake.

Consistent activity is paramount. Please do not enter the tournament if you are not committed to staying the course. Nothing is worse than an RPer paralyzed and unable to participate because his or her opponent has gone missing. Therefore, during the preliminaries any competitor who does not post at least once every 5 days (counted from the post time of your last post) will automatically forfeit. Your character will then be considered free for the slaughter - any other character in your arena will be allowed to kill him/her/it. If something comes up and you know you are going to miss the deadline, PM one of the tournament hosts. Exceptions can be made in these cases, but you must inform us beforehand.

You could just have her blown to bits by the Light Orb. Comes with the added benefit of potentially scarring Is'ira for life!

Not everyone who enters and doesn't make it to the Finals dies. Unless you greatly desire Eyra's death, I see no reason for her not to simply lose the Championships.

EDIT: unless there is some rule I wasn't aware of where everyone dies?
