It's not a bug, it's how they were animated. They were animated to walk, not run, so any time you actually move at a speed that looks like they should run they instead speed walk oddly.

Awesome thanks Ash I like the walk/run thing if I could I could give you a high five.
Also Ash if it was up to me . The new looks of most of the classes of here I would put my stamp of approval for making them the art work for all the games

I can't re-animate something like that with how poor my skills are. Chronix, I don't think, is going to go back and re-do it. Tomix doesn't have the time as it's not breaking the game at all and he has way more on his plate right now to do anything not game breaking. I mean you guys did get the new art you wanted and I'm still putting out fires from issues with it...the walk frames aren't really high on any priority list right now if the class itself is solid and works and isn't exploding from some coding breaking the art somehow.

Ash keep the animation. We need a class like this. Well in my preference anyway. It makes me feel like I am dapper. O-o uhm ash I was using the necrotic sword of doom. I got the special . it wacked out on me. as in the portal was below me and one of my characters hands had a glowing orb.

I just did 20,933 damage when I did Awether's power...was that supposed to happen???

... I think my Necrotic blade of doom is broken. Not just for the guardian class. I though it was just for it because not all the bugs were worked out.

After testing out the class some more. I'd say its pretty well done. My only opinion on the change are:

1. Guardian Ghosts is still a lagfest skill for some odd reason (if not more laggy than before), I thought it would've been solved with the revamp
2. I miss the Red Shift skill where you reduce the cooldown of skills, I thought it would be retained since its kinda a Guardian class trademark since its also used in AQW, if the direct reduction to CD is OP, maybe make it similar to Blink skill in Chronomancer where the player gets an extra turn

I'm working on trying to fix that by just having the Ghosts float forwards one at a time. That's easy enough to do animation wise but it's still time consuming.

There's no real "redshift" type skill in AQ that I pulled from and I wasn't going to pull anything AQ wise from AQW. I pulled from the Blade of Awe, Guardian Blade, and several iconic spells and NPC's. (trying not to pick ones we already have in DF like Akriloth) Redshift become the Health Vamp BoA skill. Giving you all a CD reduction with the current skill set would push it over the top even with the special offer boost.

Click the "report a bug" link under the game. It appears there in both normal and DA only servers.

Thanks ash. X-x. If the bug happens with a third class it will be confirmed in my books. But I already tried two classes so. yeah. hey ash do I need a screen shot? It will be a pain the my rearend to get the bug to trigger. I mean a big pain. because of the tthing that triggers the bugg only happens 5% of the time on a normal attack

That's understandable, although IIRC Redshift was a DF original thing for the Guardian class, so I thought you guys might retain it so that you can put a DF thing on the class also. As for the CD reduction, I also understand that it'll make the class OP from its intended Tier. Although if the staff do decide to bring it back, maybe make it similar to Blink? Although if giving the class unique skills in its own, then I understand if the staff didn't. Now that you mentioned you picked the skills from the sources you stated, then all of it makes a lot of sense.

Hey Ash what do you think of the new guardian class art? you think it would be a good standard for all guardian class/armors? The skills are cool also. My favorite has to be the health and mana stealer.

Some minor nitpicking, is it okay to change some of the name's skill to some iconic AQ characters? The skillset has only three names from AQ while others are familiar terms in AQ.

When zoomed out enough... The guardian dragon is nothing but a head and long neck. This is most noticible in fights that are zoomed out. I realize he technically is just a head and neck, but it looks very disturbing. Maybe we could summon him in his full form. If not, can we get a house item that will let us refight him. It sucks that awesome boss fight was only a one time thing! I beat him with the original skills of DR years ago. Any chance we could have a way to refight him?

@DarkLore He was like that from the beginning, as for the re-fight of Guardian Dragon, IIRC you can do it by resetting your Guardian Class skills, although I'm not sure if we can do that, my memory might be thinking of another class

I'm a big fan of this class. I like the references to AQ, and the versatility of the skills. I think I might use this class until Master SoulWeaver comes out properly or Paladin gets its art update. I'm always a fan of knightly armors, and this is a fantastic one. Now, if only we got that Pactogonal Knight class...

Dragonfable has a new PREVIEW CLASS available for testing for Guardians and DA users!

What do you think of this new class?

Personally I think it's too mana intensive although it's attacks are pretty strong. The new class doesn't exactly bode well with low level players with low mana. I use a mage class and it eats mana faster than the cookie monster eats well... COOKIES! The heal spells are pretty useful although also mana intensive. I think this was created for high level players only. Leaving low level players even weaker than before. I battled Akriloth in the Fire War wearing this armor and I might even have died if Rolith was not on my team since I'm just level 19. Btw, at this level my mana is just 270. Too low for my class since only 10 points are allocated to my CHA stat. If they plan to release this armor I suggest they should reduce it's mana intensivity.

Here's the total man needed to cast all of the skills: 308 MP
Not so bad, right? Unless you have to defeat waves of monsters in a dungeon and there is no healing pad or the pad is further away along the dungeon. Which is most of the case in this game.

P.S.
I'm not sure what this class really is. But it says guardian on the interface so it might be a guardian armor.

oh, yeah, ash, could you actually make some enemies immune to the new PWD like skill? i just feel it'd be pretty cheap to defeat when/seppy with it, but it is not anything gamebreaking, so i don't know if it is a problem or not

i thought the walking animation was a bug, oh well, it's funny in it's own way, it can stay like this IMO

@above. well, the class is a tier 2, it consumes more mana than a lv 19 player should have, the class is a rmk from the guardian armor that was already in game before, it was imported from the guardians from AQ, which are the premium member name in that game, also, i don't know what your CHA has to do with your mana, WIS is the stat that affects it

Can't wait for the class to go live, As of now, I'm pretty well satisfied with the class revamp, now to wait for the release of the cape and helm that goes with it, unless its already released

Yeah, the mana intensiveness suggests that it's not for weaker players like me. However, I think they should atleast give the armor effects like stat bonuses. That would be really helpful especially if it had a WIS stat bonus haha.
Sorry for the stat mix up, I meant WIS. I have 17 WIS so that's 85 MP. I wish they change the value addition to 7 or 8 per WIS. Coz 5 is too low and 10 is too high.
Yeah I played AQ a while back so I know what a Guardian is but I like DF a lot better. Mostly because it had a free roam and more animated feel to the graphics. Plus I love dragons.

the class is quite stronger than it used to be and the art is just fascinating, and i really like how mp/damage/cooldown are balanced, no more spamy guardian rage.

and you guys are right ... the casual walk is really funny .... could the shield be in front of us while walking .... making it less casual and more intimidating.

edit: hope i am not too greedy but can the ghost cooldown be reduced by 1 or the vortex evation effect extended by 1 turn with less turns of damage boost so the skills can be looped infinitely ?

regardless the class can now pull itself for a very long time .... i just went in a nearly infinite fight against Razen and the fight lasted untll i ran out of Mp, i recall doing awether attack 5 times or maybe 6 in that fight.
second fight and i finished him.

the class has only 1 turn where it is defenceless once every 2 comboes.
