In AQW, I spent 200 ACs to get a fancy item that does completely nothing but look pretty. Players don't mind that because it has rarity attached to it. Sellback, I do not know but I doubt Gold is hard to come by in AQW, nor it has as many crucial uses. Yes, you should worry about inflation. If you make Credits easy to come by, Varium is not a shortcut and Credits will make Varium useless, unless it comes to Varium luxuries that don't affect PvP, which makes it quite bad for the game overall. Credit prices would go up to compensate for it, and no, your PvP rewards would remain the same and you'd blame Arcade for it - even though not everyone would use it, and that means some players would end up being screwed by the inflation. I don't see how it's greedy though. You know what you're paying for and we were made aware that sellbacks will be low, prior to the release. Everything was told, you've agreed to it. Those items that sell for thousands, you've bought them for double the price. In case of Arcade, you may've gotten the item completely free (Daily Mission), thus saving you quite an amount. If you use Varium, well, it is a shortcut for a reason. The purpose of Varium is shortcut, and we were also told that before Omega went live. You've paid for a shortcut and you knew what you will get (not literally). It's not a farming spot because that causes inflation. It wouldn't? Credit prices went up for this very reason with Omega's release. Varium was to be a shortcut and Credits to not be easily available. You pay or play. Lastly, you also knew you're paying for art (unless the item has a core). You knew you may not get an item in Silver or Gold category. There is nothing greedy about it. You've had all the information handed to you in the DNs, and you've agreed to them. quote:
So if we spend 10,000 Varium, in return we get 2000 credits in return. Wrong. The purpose of Arcade is NOT a farming spot. It's a place where you win rewards, not an additional Credit source. The old Arcade costed 5 Battle Tokens, you've had a PvP fight to win (and could lose it), the reward was not guaranteed (and you could've ended up with nothing), and you've received mostly small amount of Credits. Now, you do Daily Missions (free) or pay your way through, and get a random item from the pool. Old Arcade had higher sellback on items, but back then, we've had enhancements that had very steep Credit price, F2P and P2P items, and P2P weapons required Varium to buy, as well as Credits. Inflation was not an issue back then. If you want Credits, do NPCs or PvP fights. If you hate farming, buy Varium. You have a choice. Arcade is not a farming spot and you win rewards from it. It's an easy concept to grasp. You aren't forced to rely on Arcade to compete. What isn't beneficial for you, may be beneficial for others.
