Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What are boosts?
A: Boosts are percentage based (1% - 100%) bonuses or additions, to damage or a reward. They can be a passive equip, or an active timed boost.
Q: Do boosts from gear stack?
A: No, You will only benefit from the last item of each type of boost you equip. So for example if you equip a +5% experience armour first, then equip a +3% experience cape, you're only going to benefit from the +3% bonus and not any experience gear boost from before.
However, different boosts can be used together (ex: reputation boost from cape, damage boost from weapon, gold boost from helm) and active timed boosts will stack with gear boosts.

Passive Vs. Active Boosts:
As you might see, Many of easily attained boost items are for AC (Adventure Coins), now assuming AC boost items are your only option lets take a look at the AC cost effectiveness comparing passive to active boosts.
With damage boosts, assuming you are fighting the monster you have a boost against, everything goes your boost % faster, so say you were fighting undead at your level with in order gain experience, let's see if it's better to fight with a permanent (5%) damage boost weapon costing 250 AC, or buying a 150 AC 1 hour experience boost.
Shadow Warrior Blade +5 (Permanent)(250 AC)(5%)
efficiency is (250 AC) / (5% boost) x (1 hour) = 50 AC/1%
EXP BOOST! (1 Hour)(150 AC)(100%)
efficiency is (150 AC) / (100% boost) x (1 hour) = 1.5 AC/1%
So taking a first look it is clear that if you are only going to spend one hour farming undead, the active boost is more efficient, but the boost only lasts one hour right? So at what time is it more efficient to purchase the weapon? To find this we must see when the efficiency is the same, we can do this by cross dividing our efficiency values.
(50 AC/1%) / (1.5 AC/1%) = 33.3h (hours) of solo undead farming in order for Shadow Warrior Blade +5 to be the more efficient choice of boost.
Keep in mind if you are farming more then one reward then you can divide the hours needed by the number of rewards, so if you were farming gold and experience it would take 16.7 hours. Gold, experience and reputation 11.1 hours. Gold, experience, reputation and class points 8.3 hours. The reverse applies if you are not solo, so assuming 2 people farm together twice as fast it would take about 66 hours for Shadow Warrior Blade to be the more cost efficient choice. Also, these numbers are based on spending the entire active boost farming, where as with passive you can just play, quest faster or farm whenever you want.

Recommended Boost Items:
There are 5 main passive categories; Damage, Reputation, Gold, Experience and Class, But only 4 equitable slots; Helm, Armour, Weapon and Cape. Unless you have the rare Polished Dragon Blade +7 (7%)(7%) with its high (7%) reputation boost, Or want to use a non-boosting weapon, you can pair that with a damage boost armor like Invisible Ninja +5 (AC)(5%) to get the (5%) boost to all monster. But to maximize your total boost, I recomend to use Weapons for Damage, Helms for Gold, Armor for Experience and Capes for Reputation or Class.

Special Event and Other Boosts:
The staff may occasionally have boost events, these can be anything from Double EXP Weekends to a Summer Boost Blast. The staff can even give everyone small boosts just because it's a staff member's birthday, really whenever they want to with whatever boost they want.
Another event of sorts that provides boosts is the Game Booster AC Add-On, for 5$ extra, providing 7 (1 hour) Rep, Class, Gold, and EXP Boosts (for a total of 28, with a 4200 AC Value) along 50,000 gold.
There are Daily Login Rewards which also include the four 20 minute active boosts.
The Wheel of Doom / Destiny provides a Doom XP Boost! (1 hr) every spin, that can be used or merged into a Doom Reputation, Gold or Class Boost.
