NEW CHANGES/FEATURES:

  • ArmoryBot has returned with Nightwraith's Birthday rares
  • Returning Nightwraith missions

  • New Nightwraith missions

  • Nightwraith and Titan upgraded to level 36
  • Daily Achievements will now start tracking the number of times you win (Unfortunately this tracking only applies to days going forward, and is not retroactive).
    • Daily 1v1 Champion
    • Daily 2v2 Champion
    • Daily Juggernaut Champion
    • Rising Star (Most Fame)
  • "Frost" (energy loss) now appears as a more standard "-Energy"
BALANCE CHANGES:
  • Exile and Legion Strike cores now cost 8 Energy, up from 5
  • Frostbite core now costs 7 Energy, down from 9
  • All passive class skills have been reworked into active skills. The passive skills were by largely must-have skills, decreasing build diversity while adding little strategy to battles. The new actives now generally have uses in both 1v1 and 2v2 matches, and should provide more meaningful choices both during battle and while creating a new build. Because this is such a large change to every class, we will be closely monitoring balance and making adjustments accordingly.
  • Bloodlust
    • Replaced with Mark of Blood. Mark of Blood leaves a mark on the target for 3 turns, granting lifesteal to anyone that attacks the marked target.
  • Reroute
    • Replaced with Battery Backup. Battery Backup grants the target an immediate boost to Energy, and doesn't cost the user anything to cast.
  • Adrenaline
    • Replaced with Adrenaline Rush. Adrenaline Rush instantly grants the target a percentage of their maximum Rage.
  • Hybrid Armor
    • Hybrid Armor now increases the target's Defense and Resistance by a percentage of their base Defense and Resistance (the portion from your Dexterity and Technology) for 4 turns.
  • Mineral Armor
    • Mineral Armor now increases the target's Defense by a percentage of their base Defense for 4 turns.
  • Plasma Armor
    • Plasma Armor now increases the target's Resistance by a percentage of their base Resistance for 4 turns.
  • Shadow Arts
    • Shadow Arts now casts the target in shadow and reduces all damage they take by a percentage for 3 turns.
  • Deadly Aim
    • Deadly Aim was replaced by two new skills: Fire Scythe for Tech Mages, and Energy Parasite for Blood Mages
    • Fire Scythe deals physical damage to the target, ignoring a percentage of their Defense.
    • Energy Parasite applies a debuff that steals a percentage of the target's current Energy for 3 turns, granting 1.5x the amount stolen back to the caster.
BUGS FIXED:
  • Thorns Assault incorrectly cost 0 Energy instead of 10
  • The Solar Spear home item's price has been corrected
  • A number of typos have been mercilessly shown who's boss

I'm so excited I've been waiting for the update all day.
But we still can't sell the items they said we could!

How I see the change is... we're all gonna be the same when not using any skills, but different effects from skills (old passives) will set us apart, as well as different cores.

We got used to passives for way too long, hence why them leaving is such a big change. It's a major balance update, so things are bound to break or be a bit too weak or strong, so by next week, they could fix some things if they were to be under or overpowered.

hope the reroute is similar to static smash , the fact SS can be blocked would be balanced by the fact active reroute wouldn't actually take any energy.

Excited to finally have these skill changes out!

We don't expect everything to be 100% perfect in the first shot, so we'll be keeping a close eye on everything and making adjustments as needed. There's a few areas in particular we think will need attention, but we wanted to focus on one area at a time.

I played a few battles and i found out my build still works wow. In fact I am actually liking this update. At least with 2 vs 2. I have yet to do 1 vs 1.

Hm, Mark's effect works on the turn you use it too - so you strike, apply the effect and get HP back.

It felt really bad to not get the effect right away when we were testing it. Had to lower the lifesteal amounts a bit to compensate, but I think it feels more natural this way.

One thing we're concerned about it general flow of Energy now that most of your options have a cost to them.

General battle pacing, the way Rage works, and random effects in battle are our next major considerations as of right now. We also plan to touch up any major pain points that show up from this week's changes.

Holy hell titan is hard to beat...I have 30 def, 34 res and hes hitting 29s and 30-35s...while im only hitting between 10-21 -.-. If someone come sup with a tm build to beat titan please let me know lol

My main objection so far is power:cost ratio. Some skills do end up being weak - my Level 3 Energy Shield with moderate Support, grants me higher Resistance (but for 3 turns) for 15 Energy, whilst max Plasma Armor (31 EP) won't get anywhere close for tanks. It's either buffing Armors or lowering the Energy cost.

Mark should also be altered a little. Higher effect if you're the only player alive and lower (the same as it is now) if you partner is alive, because it wasn't buffed as much from BloodLust and it's difficult without Deadly Aim. Not sure how BHs will cope with it.
I definitely like the new Shadow Arts. Had someone use it earlier and it was quite good for defense, but again, the main problem is Energy cost.

Our Energy is scarce. Skills won't fill the hole up, but lowering the cost of new actives would definitely do the job.

I'm a bit annoyed at the how the M/P Armours are based on %. I had 92 Dexterity and was Smoked for around -30. Now, of course I'm going to use my Mineral Armour if I'm smoked; that's what shields are for. And then I activated my level 8 mineral armour and I got +7 defence...

So my Mineral armour is less effective when I need it most, which defeats the purpose a little.

I like how after 3 turns I get like 15 energy back from this new BloodMage skill and then the Merc Static Smashes me back into oblivion...
Can't even give constructive criticism about this so I'll just back out again

What the heck? NPCs get to keep their passives? :/

It would be nice if they didn't have passives.

    "I didn't like this war at all. What were the staff thinking? The items in the shop were ugly, overpriced and were bugged!! No cutscene? That was never done before and it is not how it should be done ever. Seriously, doesn't the staff ever listen to us?! The boss fight was too hard and took forever to beat :( And there was no sound. I dont think the staff even care anymore. Best war ever /sarcasm I hate this game D:<!"
