well i think tm are not oped they are just strong right now atm because of battery backup. the problem here is battery back up not that mages spells are strong.

they need to put a requirement on battery backup. since reroute had a tech requirement, i feel that battery back up should have it too. but casters would still be strong if it was a tech requirement. so i suggest that battery back up should have a support or a str requirement. plus i think the scaling of battery back up is kinda high 40+ when maxed hmm i guess this is a direct counter to emp. unless u spam tech a normal emp does around - 40 energy when it is maxed or high lvl.

If you weaken it, tlm will be destroyed. Additionally, everyone has energy drains now... so energy can't be considered too OP.

This is just it the only build ive seen for the Tm that performs decent is caster you nerf the energy regain your not going to just hurt casters your going to kill diversity at best the class at worst and probably take tlms with them.

Support requirement on TM battery backup would do a lot. And if devs also added strength requirement on assimilation it would kill the currently overused caster build.

zion, that's my issue with nerfing Battery - it'd affect TLMs. Requirements would be second best thing, especially ones 8x has suggested. Well, and maybe reduce the base Energy returned from the Battery too, but not much.

batterie sure add a requirement

assimilate no your already taking a damage penalty to use it. I think it would be smarter to add a support requirement to batterie as you require a level of strength to up bolt and if your trying to kill casters and not injure the other builds that no ones playing on the tms for some strange reason probably the way to do it.

Yeah, I was thinking about Assimilation - unless the requirement would cap at like 35'ish for Lvl 10, then it wouldn't be all that horrible. Say Lvl 1 = 17 Str & +2 per level = 35 Str at Lvl 10. Wouldn't really that bad, don't you think?

Reroute had a requirement of Tech - 24 Tech at Lvl 1 and up to 42 Tech at Lvl 10. Just change it to Support and we're almost good to go. Its base amount could still go down though, not by a lot though. They'd not max the Battery out instead and still get a hefty amount back, so y'know.

^ They aren't op anyone with a emp decent strength build or knowledge of their build can beat them .

And from the last page where you said rage screws them, if they have high defenses and resistance, they will most likely block and deflect a majority of the rage attacks anyways, so it won't be that effective.

Ever hear of lucky strike and aim assist? using these cores will reduce your chances of getting blocked and deflected. There are also cores that aren't affected by defensive luck factors as well. Use those if you have them.

And if you can't use the cores because you have no energy left? Most likely in battle if you don't use your energy with a techie, assimilation occurs. Now they can also piston it, if they have that. With no energy, how can you use guaranteed hit cores? The aim assist and lucky strike could help... Minutely. But not enough to help win the battle.

As I understand , the combo of assimilate + battery is the problem, not battery itself. What is they would nerf assimilate, as in steals energy but it doesn't give you energy in return? To make up for it, they could increase the damage to 100%.

That wouldn't be bad idea, romanu. Unblockable Energy drain, 100% damage and we could maybe buff the drain by a little.

If that were to be implemented, I don't think a buff would be needed since assimilation levels with strength.

Even though it improves with strength the drain is low because it also gives you back energy. If you remove the give back energy part and just made it for energy drain, it would be the weakest out of all the energy drainers. A buff for it would be needed if this went into play so it wouldn't fall behind.

Mother1 well you're missing the battery skill which at max gives a mage 46 energy+ around 13-14 energy from assim=60 energy which is like max base energy

Weren't you the one who said assimlation should be changed to where it doesn't give you the energy it takes? Remember if it does that (take energy but doesn't give it) it would be way behind with the other energy destroyers.

That was why I said if this change happened the move would need a buff with the energy destroying. Otherwise it would be the weakest energy destroying move out of the bunch.

Oh right, I forgot Assimilation scales with Strength as well. xD Well, we could speed up the progression instead - from 1 EP/9 Str, to 1EP/7 Str.

And I know axell, drain is drain and return is giving the Energy to you. I'm on about buffing the drain and no return (what romanu's suggested).

Maybe if they make it so it doesn't give it back, maybe a slight buff... I feel that the fact that they can gain back such high amounts of energy for no cost but a turn makes it so they shouldn't be able to drain energy at high quantities. At least not for free. If assimilation would be made on par with the other energy draining skills, I feel a cost would have to be implemented.

If assimilation is OP then energy parasite is 1.5 times OP... y did tm get a useless phys attack for DA and BM get an awesome passive energy leech (plus a small strike)?
