You can only use certain characters so "correctly" before conceding that you'd be more "correct" in using a character with a better deck. You can optimize a Misfit or Light Fairy for PvP. You might do well, you might even win, but you're handicapping yourself and would have much more potential with characters that start with better cards. Sure, I would not expect a character to be perfect before CC, but a good deal of other characters are closer to perfection both before and after considering CC's. Design flaws are fortunately few and far between in this game and the staff as a whole have consistently done a great job in avoiding them, but they do exist. The Water element as a whole is the preeminent example. Conversely, Resonance is a splendid example of intelligent design and The Jop deserves a great deal of credit for his insight. @Jacke: Queen Aegea, Poison Drake, Cosoma Titan, Taurus, Dire Monk, and Resonance.
