what if yetis are able to make robots go on cooldown in the chomp ability.

conceptwise: robots are considered ranged since they are not done with the weapon so they match the word : "ranged weapons are disabled"

balancewise: it allows there to actually be a counter to robots as malf only refuces it by 5 or so , so it doesn't really counter it.
also it won't really be a counter , it will only delay it for 3 turns at a cost of dealing less damage and puting yeti on cooldown too.

yetiwise: it will increase the skill use from only being usefull against a support merc into also being usefull on focus builds.

so what do you guys think ?

The staff already said some time ago that they didn't want one robot to be a counter to another. If the yeti's chomp affected other robots that would be in turn over be overpowering this bot as well so not supported.

ok , doesn't seem good so i am puting this down.
anyway the only time when this will work oddly is when two yetis are against each other.

Then how come the Assault Bot counters the new bots.

assult bot doesn't counter anything , it only decreases debuffs effect , debuffs stay but reduced to 35%.

If that is happening you should report it in the bug section of the site. From what I remember the staff doesn't want one bot to affect the usefulness of another, and since this special is one time use it really hurts this bot's usefulness.

@ Dark devil

Some time ago The Azreal's borg did the same thing to the bio borg's thorn's special. When they made balance changes to robots they made it so the azreal's borg couldn't do this to the bio borg and the bio borg has a multi use special unlike the abyss bots.

Here is the patch of info to prove they didn't want this from that bot balance update

Assault bots don't counter anything anyways because their damage is terrible and their secondary skill is really bad. It doesn't even remove that much of the debuff, just barely over half, and grants you no rage, as well as puts your bot in cooldown

@Penguin yes the assault bot's damage is low, but it's ability is pretty useful since it removes most of the enemies' debuffs for FREE and its repeatable, and works on ALL DEBUFFS ON YOUR CHARACTER, even if you have 4 of them on you. Also its special doesn't rely on focus for anything, so its great for non-focus builds.

On topic, this idea might not be too bad. Since Chomp is a one shot ability, it wouldn't be a complete counter to other bots, would just put them on cooldown, could be a nice strategic move.
