@Gorillo: Hey dude, that's why I'm saying don't change the SG/Boost. Don't go back and change it. Nevermind about changing the cap/percent. Just add some more things for people

WITHOUT boosts, to actually stand a chance.

Furthermore, AQW promotes earning ACs. . .lol .. .do you not see the 2x Manatomy? Or the watching videos? I gained 500 ACs just by watching videos. I click it, and then go to another tab or
just finish my work. Boom, 20 seconds later I got ACs.

In Oversoul you have to earn from the Artix Account, which is tedious, takes longer, and not to mention those things have viruses. I'm pretty experienced in earning Points I can tell you that. LOLOLOLOL.

Anyways! And most people I know and meet, don't know how to use the Earning points system. That system is actually very evil, no kidding. You do the surveys and crap, no reward most of the time
unless you actually know what you're doing.

AND, if you check Alina's twitter, they're planning on having a Daily Reward thing for EVERY player, Non-members included, and Alina said it'd have BOOSTS, rares, and AC's at the end of each month
if you logged on everyday.

Boom, another supporting ACs to free players.

OS won't be big until it finds people. . .and right now I don't think it's finding people. Unless you add more things instead of characters you know. . . .that's why I'm saying change some quests, like the Cellar rat.

Or add more.. . that have REAL rewards. Lol.

(edit) I haven't QUIT, but I'm playing less and less because it's getting sort of pointless now.

That's right, adding features and quests is the way to grow the game, not more and more characters.

We most likely aren't getting any major update for a while even after BGS is finished since Artix said Bladehaven will start to be worked on right after Bgs comes out.

Well, then Oversoul is as good as dead. They'll never be back, and if they are it will be as bad as Herosmash, the never-ending Beta with 30 players on it. You'd think Artix would have learned a lesson from that, which is not to take away all the staff members of a developing game.

WHAT?! Screw Bladehaven, never liked that game. All it does is DESTROY your keyboard and make lag.

Good Lawd, so is Oversoul just going to be another Herosmash or something? Another thing where:

No boost = Farm farm farm farm farm your brains/eyes out and get 10,000 gold.

Boost = A few battles -> 12,000 gold.

Thats the way the game is they won't change it unless people complain.


Characters that can rank up by spending gold instead of sgs.

So basically Oversoul's a money-maker. . . . making these characters, right? People buy boosts, train'em, buy sgs, etc.

Then they can transfer all of these characters to AQW as skins or monsters, more money.. . .

. . . . Man .. this kind of sucks. . .

(edit) At least the community is cool.

Nulgath works fors Artix he might have a contract to bring all cool things from OS over to AQW even Evil Jim is in Mecha Quest.

But it looks like Nulgath ain't going to have time to contribute to Oversoul THAT much . . . .-sigh-

So if you take out that, all that's happening is more characters, and more items for the other games.. . . . .

Milton should have a conversation with Adam about how Oversoul is his child and it will never grow if he and other staff members are assigned to different games...then again, he is his boss. Adam started AdventureQuest on his own though, maybe he will understand and find a way to get both Oversoul and AE side projects the proper attention. Otherwise everyone is just giving up on Oversoul.

The issue with that is multiple:

1: Raising it to the staff's attention while be polite and respectful and within the rules. As at least one staff has said on twitter, raising constructive criticism on a subject is the best way to breach it, rather then a rude post about the matter.

2:Furthermore, posting such stuff on these forums could be seen as a complaint thread or against the rules and thus, locked, deleted, and/or warnings issued.

Thus any such topic would have to be A: brought up with genuine care, B: closely monitored to to prevent hate and stuff, and C: brought to the attention of the right people, all of which is difficult at best for everyone involved, both fourmites, Ak's and mods and staff.

Look, i know how you all feel. Thinking a game is dying is bad and I don't want to see it happen as much as the rest of you. Heck, I agree something needs to be brought up on the subject of AE taking staff fromgames and leaving them to die. I'm just saying, be VERY careful what you do and say on it. If you wish a thread to be made on the matter for example, get a mod's permission first if possible, and try and make it so it;s more then a complaint.

I don't think the forums are a good way to talk to staff, so starting a new thread wouldn't do much. Only ArchKnights can make threads in the Oversoul forums anyway.

Also, you said "Thinking a game is dying is bad and I want to see it happen as much as the rest of you."

I'm just saying, be careful and constructive on the matter whatever way you decide to bring it up.

Anyway, back on topic, I was looking at Minituar, and i recall that there is a black variant for those who level up to 20. How about we make that a thing, and when you train a char that can be brought up to 20 instead it has a different version to one that can be brought AND costs less SG?

Yeah, it'd be real fun/nice if we could communicate with Devs like other games. . . .too bad we can't.

Maybe another topic where you post Questions, and once in a while a Dev can come and answer a bunch of'em . . .

(please if you care about OS take a few minutes to read & forward this post, very much appreciated).


Players latest feedback
Many players like me are disappointed to be seeing OS stuck up for around 2 years just focusing in introducing characters most of the time & we all know a game to be successful will need more creative ideas other than just bring avatars. Myself & other OS players are starting to realise that this game isn't progressing much for the time that has flew by & we are afraid that this game will not get any better.

Expectations
The most popular & wanted things we want to see in-game to revamp everyones OS experience & save the game is: A new phase (released sometime soon this year), new quests/story lines, new mode(s) (like tag team 2v2), IGN name change (for Soul Gems), Repeated Character(s) deletion & new fun interactive interfaces like private chats to socialise with friends in battle(s).
This all would motivate players to play for longer periods of time without undergoing boredom, players would also be much happier to invest more in-game, so gross profits would increase.

Taking into consideration
We're aware that AE have been very busy with other game platforms & theres only so much AE staff can do, but it shouldn't be an exception to let the struggling games like OS that have potential to shine be left stranded. OS hopes soon after "Battle-Gems" goes live that it will get the attention it needs. The obvious problem is that theres too much staff focusing in specific platforms like AQW & hardly any on others games like OS. I'm sure the AE company should invest more in OS because its only a underdog game due to the fact that it had a bad/oblivious start, but its definitely worthy of needing more support/investment in order to do well like the other successful AE game(s). It just needs a second chance so we'd recommend Artix himself to be passed on these feedback posts from Forum Mod's, so he can realise incase he hasn't yet to recruit a couple more Dev's (coders) or authorise some existing staff from other AE platforms to come help OS at least a couple more times a week.

Outcome
If AE (Artix) had dignity to the fans of OS he'd listen to us & give more attention than ever to help brighten up OS's future as well as the great Nulgath's. Another Tip to help OS would be to re-advertise at least on Twitter/Facebook just to increase chances of improving games community number perspective by enticing old players again to come back to OS as well as bring over new players from around the world.

Yesterday me and a few other players tried to contact Artix on twitter one of us even sent a 10 page tweet to him asking in a nice way if by any chance would he be able to send a new coder to OS since people want to play the game but are quitting because nothing is happening. He hasn't replied yet but maybe he will today.


How about a card that lets you get rid of a card and the amount of energy the card is worth is how much energy you get in another element. Such as getting rid of a 500 fire card to gain 4 energy in lightning or something else.

hey, how about a overkill mechanic? Basically, the higher the negative damage at the end of a battle the higher the gold? For example, if they have -100 damage you get say 20 extra gold, 40 for -200 ETC.

That'd be cool, and a tricky aspect too. Do you save up the most damage dealing cards to finish them off and get bonuses, or do you finish him off before they have a chance? It'd be a fun way to add another twist to PvP.

Sage said a few days ago that Warlic was actually trying to fix the negative damage thing so that it will show 0 instead of negative numbers.

Above: Can you provide the post and time? Because I seem to recall a post being made that said it was gonna stay that way because seeing negative numbers is more fun, and thus i am now confused.

Anyway, if it DOES stay, Overkill mechanic: what do you think?

He said it while he was playing OS but a lot of people were around that can verify he said it.

A steal card another card that means in your hand can hijack one of the cards your enemy is about to use to limit the OP ness of it though you have decided rather to use it or not before your enemies cards activate.

I would like to see a card that steals some energy from your opponent (around 5), and then a card that uses that energy, with different effects for each element and stronger effects the more energy you have in an element.

This is from an old suggestion of mine. It was made before the x100 change, so all the fractions are rounded up. Feel free to change it since it's really weird with fractions and everything:

Neutral - Converts neutral energy into 7/6 damage.
Chaos - Converts chaos energy into damage ranging from any number between and including 1/4 of it and 6/4 of it.
Shadow - Converts shadow energy into 1/2 damage which hits each turn for three turns.
Light - Converts light energy into unblockable damage.
Water - Heals for 3/4 water energy two times over two turns.
Earth - Hits for 1/3 earth energy each turn for 5 turns.
Lightning - Converts energy...energy into 1/2 damage that is added to every attack used for that turn.
Ice - Converts ice energy into defense, plus 1 hit of 2/3 ice energy after 4 turns.
Fire - Converts fire energy into 1/2 damage, and then three hits of 1/4 damage over three turns.

It's also all multiplied by 100 of course. I buffed them as I saw fit so they would be in line with current standards, but feedback is always welcome.
