Assimilation has the ability to both deal damage and take energy because it attacks the person physically, with a staff. Static smash attacks you with a club, so it should be able to deal damage to.

Not supported.

If you look at Atom Smasher and Static smasher they drain a lot more energy than Assimilation does. In fact all energy drainers (minus Energy parasite) drain more energy than Assimilation does.

Assimilation gives rage and damage to compensate for it's weaker energy drain which in turn balances it with the others with pro's and cons.

Giving Damage to the these energy drainers would overpower them especially with the amount they drain.

True but it would make it more fair than them simply getting blocked and receiving no mp. They can even do damage at 65% if thats any better. Besides, mages have battery backup. Cybers have emp and static. Bhs have emp. At the least, static smash should deal 65% damage.

I made a suggestion similiar to this a while ago but only with atom smash. I would support an 85% damage from at ash but not static smash.

@ Jake and @ Gearz, Thanks for the support but could you try to elaborate more? Admins on Forums tend to like ideas when people both support and give a good explanation for why they support. Thank you!

@Jake- I think you guys should be able to do damage with Static Smash because it is such a controversial skill. Either you hit and get mp or get blocked and take a minimal amount. If it is an attack that takes energy then it should either be Unblockable or Do damage (just like assimilation). My reason for that is because you're getting hit by a hammer.... enough said.

@Gearz- I see where you are coming from and that can be an option too. Its not fair that Atom smash costs to take mp yet tactical mercs get nothing back and it deals no damage. Sure it's a tactical class, but that's a huge weakness. They basically wasted a turn.

It drains more and the conversion rate is way better. IMO static smash should just grant rage too and assimilation should just be blockable.
