It's good for damage, but terrible for defense so it wouldn't be the best choice in a dual element tournament, since a lot of dual element characters have iron hide which gives them a huge defensive advantage.

So I've got no actually useful dual element chars...yet. I'm thinking bavaria or ice elf when they become available. What F2P character should I farm for that isn't too frustrating and is available before the tourney starts?

Poison drake and mana guardian and the strongest dual elementals that are non sg and non rare. I would personally recommend mana guardian to be honest. In the tournament, you will probably meet a lot of really defensive oriented characters like Queen Aegea that are pretty much optimized to survive whatever and deal the most energy efficient damage possible. So your chances of winning through another defensive character are really really low, so the best chance you will get is to quickly overpower enemy characters through pure burst and a little bit of luck.

I'm thinking of it in a different way, in that you only have a good chance to defeat a powerful defensive/offensive character with another powerful defensive/offensive character. Trying to do as much damage as possible tends to be a waste of energy since your opponent can absorb most of it with iron hide and shields.

I think I'll just...not participate until I find a dual element char that I'm comfortable with.

if skexis gets a rank up it'll be a huge threat getting off 2 posions is a lot easier to do than corruption if you use it.

Did you alpha test or get 1st upholder elite?

elite dark slayer: Keep in mind that a dual element tournament won't be live for a long time. Not only will we have a Neutral tournament left, but we might have other projects lined up as well.

I would go with Arcane Ranger mostly because it's the only one whose base element is Neutral.

needs two energizes so I can double super charge and double powerstrike and 500 for 5150 damage.

When the next OS contest going through the past design notes and we already had one this time last year.

But you'd probably lose in the time it'd take to set that up and you'd have to eat up four CC slots on the 2 Super Charges and Power Strikes that could be put into Iron Hides/Corruptions.

I'm not sure if the AQW poll counts as a sort of a contest but right another elemental character contest could be nice about now. :>

The double energizes would make it worth it can't be used with a one energize deck .

Debatable. :S

But I'm sure Arcane Ranger with its single Energize would do fine in a dual-elemental tournament.

To slow for me to use her with the one energize.

I don't have a character worth using anyway with dual elements hoping one of the new things is dual though.

you know the tourneys could be ongoing - time frames cause limited participation.
So are "the" Elemental Tournament Champions and #1, 2 & 3rd contenders willing to defend their status month to month?
umm why would element tournaments ever be over? Ask Not For Whom The Bell Tolls...

Having eight elemental tournaments going on simultaneously would be difficult to say the least (even the current tournaments pose difficulties), especially given that I'm not sure how the challenges would work or how many times challenges would be allowed per month, etc. However I have heard that there are plans for a sort of forum-hosted leaderboard competition although I'm not sure when that would take place, presumably some time after we're done with the eight elements.

free form - with challenges being made and accepted - you could split the elements into threads to track easier.
the hardest part was setting up a tourney - once it is set - why stop - just separate by months.
easier than tryin to organize a tournament for one week out of year
that ends up being too exclusionary by accident..
and it is not monthly tournys - it is defending your position from top contenders.
Tournament should be yearly to give new comers a shot at the top - but in between defend your title

Ah, I see. Sort of like boxing titles, but how would the top contenders who are able to challenge titled players be chosen, and once they can challenge, how many times would they be able to do so before having to qualify to challenge again?

But then people who lost might just keep doing that until they eventually win through luck.

Believe or not I was actually thinking of that idea of challenging someone for there elemental title but didn't know how to word it though I do feel we need to redo the elemental tournament in a few years or when OS is funcioning at 100% so the CC rotation and tournament can happen pretty fastly and the newer characters would give differnet results to who would win or not so far I don't really see any new characters who would be threats to the already god characters of OS though maybe 2 or 3 like moose, Frost dragon and dragzirra but thats about it.
