That can barely spare a coder to add characters which isn't that hard plus only warlic and rolith know OS code. At most they could do a tournament for 24 hours since the pvp leader board only does hour day and all time. Several players have admitted to dueling themselves to get easy wins on the pvp leader board.

Again, code in game, and they only need to look at it about once a hour for one minute.

That could work. Or, you know do it for 2 days. You have hour, you have day, that's all you need.

Then that could be a problem.

The tournament would force people to only use the fastest elements to win, like fire and energy.

Funny thing is, you can build a reasonable defense against that with Nuteral or Ice. heck, back in the last tournament when me and VBlackshock had no chance of winning and were feeling evil we just used Monk to mess with people and slow them down. They'd QUIT before they won.

Point is, you can beat fire and energy, and if they leave for faster kills, easy win for you and if they do it too much they get disqualified anyway.

I'm not saying they're unbeatable, they're just the fastest ways to win. So every other element will get wins more slowly. I don't think anyone will get disqualified for anything but cheating. Dante won the first tournament by only using Headless Horseman.

The point is not to win though. The point is to get people in OS.

The main issue I see is one of High level vs Low level players. You get a level 1 vs a level 20 they will be scared off.

I think that's been fixed, but there can still be a gap of about 10 levels between players in PvP.

One way or another it's a issue that needs to be resolved. I don't know if this is in the code, but maybe limit everyone to low level chars for the tournament? Assuming that cannot work, ask people to work on the honor system and disqualify anyone above a certain level. But then you have the issue of what happens when you get to that level.

How many people do you think this will take? At least one coder so far people to check levels for cheaters.

Oh I've been meaning to ask this for a long time. In PvP how come each turn seems to take a long time? Does it take y'all a while to figure out what your move is or what? xD

Depends on who you're battling. Some people are busy with other things at the same time and some people try to wait for the 30 seconds to pass every turn so their opponent leaves and they get an easy victory. Some people also have slow computers, so what seems like a long time to you is them waiting to complete their turn.

Lags a big part of people quiting OS.

I've always supported the idea of being able to set your cards early during the enemy turn so you could easily just press end turn.

Personally, I wait a few extra seconds hoping to prevent de-syncs.

It should be safe after the 27 second mark, as long as your opponent is not still in its "being attacked" animation. Lighting Wolf seems to have that animation go into the next turn.

I've got a new signature if anyone else wants to use it, that should not break any forum rules. All credit for it goes to Skurge.

I removed the description from my link, but it used to have the same text on the bottom. Personally, I just like the picture. @below I see.

The new one doesn't break forum rules

They should both be fine since they fit the 500x100 pixels limit. Adding any text to the bottom of the original one is what broke the rules since that made it go over the 100 pixels height limit.

Creative!

I also put together a new siggy, let's hope it'll encourage even more people to play it rather than serving as post decoration. If anyone wants to use it, you're free to, by the way. The future of this game is not yet Over(Soul)!

I love the new Sig's, well done guys. I couldn't be bothered making my own (hopefully I do an advanced one some other time). I've been farming a lot of gold (for CC pack's) lately with 0 Xboost, it's literally a nightmare.

Done my own Sig, now we all look unique, we just need more players to do this around the whole AE forums to spread the word/influence.
