The final gift is 3K credits so the best gift was the 24th one.

 Talking to Char right now this was planned so people could take a small holiday and still get the best prize

It's better this way. It would be sad to have people miss the best present just because they had to skip a day or two.

o well... something i guess :/

Although would have been awesome if the gifting ended with a BANG!

They could have given 10k credits. Still not a big deal with the gifting going around...

Keep in mind that even the most lucrative Missions from the new standard tend to give no more than 2.5K Credits; don't allow the existence of player gifting spoil you and thereby influence your opinion of daily gifts. A free 3,000 Credits for simply logging in and clicking a button is extremely nice. ^^

As for the Blood Hawk Mutation: All I can do is express wonder at and appreciate the magnanimity of the Staff, as is always the case with AE!
