Battleon Tree Decoration!

Location: Frostval '15: Fruitcake Fury! » Decorate the Battleon Tree

«Scene: Battleon. Snow has descended on Battleon!»

Robina: «You»! So good to see you!
«You»: Hi Robina! What happened to the fountain that was in the town's square?
Robina: Yulgar had to remove it due to the frigid weather, something about pipes freezing and bursting. He said it made the town look empty so he replaced it with a tree!
Robina: He has such an eye for those type of things.
«You»: Huh, it seems a little... plain doesn't it? I bet with a little hunting I could really spruce it up!
Robina: Hunting? I love hunting! I bet some Zard pelts and Behemoth teeth would look really nice, «You»!
«You»: What..? Ew, no! I mean we could look around, I'm sure there's some spare decorations left lying about.
Robina: Ohhh yeah, that's a great idea! I'll put together a list for us, this will be so much fun! I love this time of year!

«A list of items to hunt for pops up.»

Decorate the Battleon Tree!

    «You»: Hello Chilly! You said something about an ancient relic being stolen?
    Chilly: Yes, please follow me to my house. Maybe the thief left some clues.

    «You arrive with Robina at Chilly's House»

    «You»: Okay Chilly, what was stolen?

    «Chilly grabs the box on the table and opens it.»

    «You»: A box full of crumbs? I... don't get it.
    Chilly: Sadly, that is all that is left of my beautiful fruitcake.
    «You»: Fruitcake?! That is what you sent me up here to investigate
    «You»: C'mon Chilly! I mean, I hate that it was stolen, but I have like 6 of those things back at my house. You could have had them all!
    Chilly: No «You», you don't understand. This was no ordinary fruitcake-- it was from the very first Frostval!
    «You»: The first Frostval? Wow that stuff really never goes bad!
    «You»: Okay Chilly, I'll help you get it back. Did the thief leave behind any clues?

    «Chilly puts down the box beside him.»

    Chilly: Well there was this tuft of blue fur and some small footprints heading out of town
    «You»: Hmmm, who would want a fruitcake? With blue fur-
    Robina: «You»-
    «You»: Robina please. I'm thinking here.
    «You»: Blue fur and tiny footprints? Hmmmm. A Tundra Reaver would have a hard time fitting through that door. Wait are they even furry?
    Robina: «You»-
    «You»: Robina, I'm trying to channel my detective skills here.
    «You»: Chilly, I need to know the whereabouts of every moglin around the time of the crime.
    Chilly: Huh? No one here would steal the fruitcake! It's sacred to every moglin in Frotvale!
    «You»: Ah ha! That is just something the person that stole it would say! Where were YOU when the fruitcake came up missing?
    Robina: «You»-
    «You»: Robina, seriously! I have him right where I want him!
    Chilly: Chilly was not here, y'know, not stealing his own fruitcake...?
    Robina: «You»!
    «You»: Robina, what?!
    Robina: BLUE FUR, TINY FEET, HATES FROSTVAL....
    «You»: ..... .... .... .... ....
    Robina: *Sighs* ZOR........BAK!!! Ugh, where is an INT roll when ya need one...­
    «You»: Of course, it must have been Zorbak! I bet if we follow the footprints and trails of crumbs, then it'll lead right to him.
    Robina: Lead the way, Detective «You»!

    «You and Robina arrived in a forest partly covered with snow. Footprints can be seen along the snow covered area.»

    «You»: Looks like we are o the right trail. The footprints lead off in that directio-

    Zorbak: This is my greatest plan ever!
    Zorbak: Now that I have something from the target time period, I am going back in time to stop Frostval before it even begins! Mehehehehe!
    Death Knight: It looks really complicated. Where did you get all these parts boss?
    Zorbak: Some nitwit mechanic had this junk laying around behind his shop.

    «You and Robina exit from the scene.»

    «You»: Oh no, we have to stop him! Let's go!
    Zorbak: Now make sure noone removes the fruitcake or I'll be lost in the past forever.

    «Zorbak moves closer to the portal and turns back to the Death Knight»

    Zorbak: ...and take off that stupid hat! What's wrong with you?
    Death Knight: But boss, it's Frostval.
    Zorbak: Not for long!

    «Zorbak steps on the portal as You enter the scene»

    «You»: Hold on Zorbak, you aren't going anywhere!

    «Zorbak and the Death Knight faces you»

    Zorbak: Hahaha «You», you are too late! Minion, keep him busy.

    «Zorbak starts to fade away»

    Death Knight: Ok boss.

    «Zorbak enters the portal»

    «You»: Great... Zorbak got away and I can't just take the fruitcake. Then we'll have Zorbak trapped in the past and there's no telling what kind of havoc he would cause.

    Robina: You must hurry, «You»! The very existence of Frostval is in your hands!
    «You»: Ok, guard the portal Robina. I will return!

    Zorbak: Good thing I built my hut on an ancient burial ground. Have fun «You»!
    «You»: (thinking) I have to stay on Zorbak's little blue heels if I'm going to fi-
    «You»: (thinking) What was that?

    Frost Moglin #1: But a holiday based on fruitcake doesn't sound very festive....
    Frost Moglin #2: Yeah that sounds downright mean. Id' be sad if I gots one of those.
    Frost Moglin #1: Forget the fact NO ONE likes fruitcake but this reeks of corporate scam to make a "Hallmark Holiday".
    Stollen: What?! No no, fruitcakes are beloved by all. It's so much more than cake-
    Frost Moglin #2: Sowwy chef, we have firewood to collect so we have to be running.

    «The two frost moglins leave.»

    Stollen: But, but, bu-
    Stollen: Ah who am I kidding? It looks like a rainbow threw up on this. Am I the only one that just loooooves fruitcake?!

    «You enter the scene.»

    «You»: Hey there little fella! You see a blue moglin run this way?
    Stollen: Ahhhhh, a giant! Mr. Crumbsfield attack!

    «The Ancient FruitcakeZard lies defeated on the ground.»

    Stollen: Mr. Crumbsfield, nooooo! He was my favorite one!
    «You»: Hey you attacked me! I was just asking if you had seen a blue moglin pass through here.
    Stollen: You mean those unfestive, fruitcake-hating moglins? Should be at a little village just over the mountains.
    «You»: (thinking) That sounds like Zorbak alright.
    «You»: Thanks, buddy. Sorry about your pet.
    Stollen: My name is Stollen, president of FruitcakeCo™! Just leave already so I can clean up this mess.

    «You leave the scene.»

    Stollen: *Sigh* I needs a new line of work.

    «Zorbak enters the scene.»

    Zorbak: *Huff* Hey you, mushroom *Puff* hat. You see a village around here?
    Stollen: The name is Stollen, strange fellow. The village of Frostvale is close by. No doubt laughing at my Fruitcake Day idea.
    Zorbak: (thinking) Fruitcake Day? Is that possibly what starts Frostval?
    Zorbak: (thinking) So if I can stop Fruitcake Day from catching on... mehehehe!
    Zorbak: Laughing? How typical. What do you expect from fruitcake haters? I find it... super.. yummy myself.
    Stollen: Really? I have waited for someone with good tastes and that day has come... friend!
    Zorbak: They call me Zorbak, and yeah I think we should be *shudders* besties! Y'know Stollen, maybe those other need to be taught a lesson..
    Stollen: What do you mean, new best friend?
    Zorbak: Well I can't stand the thought of them *snicker* *ahem* laughing at you and your delicious creations.
    Zorbak: I think we should make sure they learn to appreciate your hard work!
    Stollen: Hmmmm. I should make tons of fruitcake and bury their village in them?
    Zorkbak: Close. I say we burn their village to the ground so they never forget the day they took you for granted! You have any more of these fruitcake monsters laying around?
    Stollen: A few, yes. Why?
    Zorbak: Stolly old friend, you get to baking your little mitts off.

    «Stollen enters his hut.»

    Zorbak: I have a plan. Mehehehehehe!

    Later, at the moglin village...


    «You arrive at Frostvale. Two moglins are standing outside.»

    «You»: (thinking) Good, the village is still standing. Looks like I'm not too late.
    «You»: Greetings moglins of Frostvale! I have come to warn you of grave danger facing your village!
    Frost Moglin #1: Gwave danger? Silly, I think you have been the cold too long.
    Frost Moglin #2: Indeed! Let's warm him up with some hot cocoa!
    «You»: No, but I-

    «The two moglins enter their hut.»

    «You»: Fine...

    «You follow the two moglins into their hut.»

    Frost Moglin #2: See? Now we is toastedy warm!
    «You»: Thank you for the hospitality, but you don't understand! I can't explain all the details, but you are in harm's way.
    Frost Moglin #1: Now, now, you just sip that cocoa and let the soothing warmth wash away all those cwazy thoughts.
    Frost Moglin #2: Nothing scawey happens aroun-

    «A rock with a note was thrown inside through the window.»

    Frost Moglin #2: Ahhhhhh! Rock bird flew through my window!
    «You»: Yes it's a rock.... with a note attached to it.

    «The note reads:»

    Molgins,

    Too long you have mocked my
    confectionary creations! With
    the help my new fwiend you
    will all pay! Get weady for WAR!

    The Moglin town of Frostvale in the north started as just a tiny village. Now Frostvale is being raided by the forces of Stollen and Zorbak! We need you to help save the very origins of Frostval!

      Artist Moglin: Morale in the war is low. I know what I can do!

      «The Artist Moglin decorates the tree.»

      Artist Moglin: That is much better!

      «You return to the war camp.»
      «After 40% of Stollen and Zorbak's forces are defeated, a cutscene was unlocked.»

      «Scene: Inside a candy factory.»

      Warrior Moglin: You needs to ramp of production of those candies for the troops!
      Baker Moglin: Yes sir!

      «The Baker Moglin pressed the red button. The candy machines starts to malfunction.»

      Baker Moglin: Sir, I think we pushed the machine too hard! The candies are coming out in weird cane shapes!
      Warrior Moglin: Those'll have to do! I'll tell the troops that they're special war candies!
      Baker Moglin: Okay! I wonder if this'll catch on....

      «You return to the war camp.»
      «After 60% of Stollen and Zorbak's forces are defeated, a cutscene was unlocked.»

      «Scene: War Camp.»

      Warrior Moglin: Did you get those health potions ready?
      AlcheMoglin: Yes! Well, kinda...
      Warrior Moglin: ???????
      AlcheMoglin: See, I ran out the ingredients, so I had to improvise. I ran out of frogzard tears to make the base out of, but I found that milk, whipped eggs, and sugar worked just as well!
      Warrior Moglin: You made potions out of EGGNOG?!?! Weird! No one drinks eggnog at this time of year!
      AlcheMoglin: Well they'll HAVE to, if they wanna keep their health up!
      Warrior Moglin: I guess... thanks for your help!

      «You return to the war camp.»
      «After 80% of Stollen and Zorbak's forces are defeated, a cutscene was unlocked.»

      «Scene: War Camp.»

      Warrior Moglin: Stollen's forces are getting closer, and these houses are undefended!
      Druid Moglin: Leave it to me, chief!

      «The Artist Moglin decorates the houses with magic.»

      Druid Moglin: There we go! Magic Wreaths of Protection will protect the houses from harm!
      Druid Moglin: I also put on some orbs enchanted with Light magic. Those should ward off the undead.
      Warrior Moglin: Great work! Be sure to write that down somewhere - we might need to use it again!

    Chilly: Not so fast! I checked the list a second time, and some presents didn't get delivered!
    «You»: But they're not here! Where would they be??

    «Robina enters the scene.»

    Robina: «You»! I found some tracks! It looks like someone's been stealing the gifts!
    «You»: Well, let's go get 'em! We're running out of time!

    «The scene fades to black. The tracks lead to Zorbak, standing atop a pile of gifts.»

    «You»: Stop right there, Zorbak!

    «You enter the scene.»

    «You»: Zorbak?! You don't give up do you?
    Zorbak: No way! If I can't completely ruin Frostval at least I can ruin it for the hundred or so people whose gifts I have here!
    «You»: Not on my watch!
      1 BATTLE: Zorbak

    «You»: See Zorbak, no matter how uch you scheme to ruin Frostval, the spirit of joy and giving will always prevail!
    Zorbak: Oof.... You might've beaten me, but there's no way that you'll deliver all these gifts in time!
    «You»: No way! I'll... actually, that IS a pretty big mountain....
    «You»: Uh... HEY GUYS, COULD I GET SOME HELP HERE?

    «Robina enters the scene.»

    Robina: Don't worry, I'll help! I'm an expert at these kinds of things!

    «Cyrus and Galanoth enter the scene.»

    Galanoth: My dragonslayers can help deliver gifts!
    Cyrus: While riding on my dragon soldiers, naturally!

    «Cenara enters the scene.»

    Cenara: I've got a whole underground network in Darkovia! You don't have to worry about presents there.

    «Warlic appears into the scene.»

    Warlic: I can teleport gifts directly into people's homes!

    «Rhubarb and Elizabeth enter the scene.»

    Elizabeth: My ninjas will deliver gifts as swift as the wind!
    Cap'n Rhubarb: Not as fast as me pirates! I'll race ya!

    «Kamui enters the scene.»

    Kamui: It should be trivial to reprogram my attack drones to deliver gifts!
    «You»: Uhh... are you sure that's such a good idea?
    Kamui: Of course! They're fully tested and everything! What could go wrong?
    «You»: Point. Okay, I think that we have enough people! Let's go!
    Zorbak: Wait!!!

    «Zorbak steps out from behind the crowd that has gathered around the gifts.»

    Zorbak: You all had to join together to stop me? Mehehe! That means that none of you losers could stop me by yourselves!
    Robina: That's right, but you'll always be a failure as long as we're friends!
    Zorbak: Bah, you'll see! One day I'll beat you all and destroy Frostvale!
    Zorbak: Do you hear me? I'll destroy you, Frostvale!
    «You»: Zorbak you do realize your middling with time helped to create Frostval in the first place?
    Zorbak:I........wait.........uh......

    «Screen fades to black with Zorbak's giant text.»

    Zorbak: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    «Sage Uldor enters the scene.»

    Sage Uldor: Congratulations, «You»! You've restored the natural order and saved Frostval, all without anyone getting hurt!

    «Gifts suddenly fly across the scene and Kamui runs across, an attack drone chasing him. Kamui screams:»

    Kamui: AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! Abort! Abort!
    Sage Uldor: ...all without anyone getting killed! I think it's time to open your well-earned presents!

    «The treasure chest opens and the Frostval '15: Gift Delivery! shop opens. Once you leave the shop:»

    Sage Uldor: Happy Frostval to all, and may your wishes come true! Be sure to check your Gift Boxes when they open on New Year's Eve! Remember, you can get your Gift Boxes in the Guardian Tower ONLY until New Year's Eve!
