@Flabagast Thus far 2/3 of the Malerous we've faced have transported us to another world for their arcs (the snow globe and the dream world) so this war would be thematically consistent with them (as well as the themes of duality/good vs. evil) but I'm still not sold on the idea yet.

@Flabagast Interesting. Looking through the DF Encyclopedia it does seem like it's referencing the Aequilibria, since Big Daddy mentions that they are in slumber by name in the What is Love/Quintessence quest. I do think that Lock/Key are definitely tied into them somehow seeing as how that story came from a Lock/Key quest, and the story specifically mentioned that the Aequilibria created two beings. Remthalas also knows about them too based on this quote:
"Remthalas: Imagine what would happen if you woke up... and you were still in someone else's dream.
Remthalas: What would happen if they woke up?
Remthalas: Would the world stop existing?
Remthalas: You wouldn't believe me if I told you about the dreams that I've seen! The dreams that I've experienced! I have been in so many of them...
Remthalas: So many... yet they slumber, but never dream.
Remthalas: Oh, but if only they dreamed!
Remthalas: Perhaps I would be able to change reality itself..."

A very nice detail I noticed after we hit 85%. The normal Explore! waves have a darker shading on the floor and the lighting seems to be overall dimmed. You can also make out the structure in the background in most of the waves. Very nice added touch as we near the towering object overshadowing the maze.

@6ssd Oh, I didn't consider Lock and Key being the two "children" of the Aequilibria - kind of makes sense, given that it was their puzzle. I had a hunch that it was talking about the Dragons of Prophecy (Fluffy and the Hero's dragon), considering that they are intrinsically tied to the fate of Lore. Thus the Avatars watched over Lore itself, through their actions.

@Flabagast Huh I didn't consider the two dragons and the prophecy. I don't really think it fits though, since the story said that the Aequilibria created the beings in their image, and only created two, which makes them sound unique to any other type of creature. Also the Dragons of Prophecy were only born in the events of Book 1, so unless they were the first dragon eggs ever the timeline doesn't fit considering that there are much older dragons already around.

Honestly, I just want to know if this was timed. Because between Footwaves not counting, meaning our progress was hindered, having to solve puzzles to progress, and us having to get this last 5%, if Dove and Verly go "SURPRISE, YOU UNLOCKED YOU LOSING BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DONE BY FRIDAY!" I'm going to be mad.
