Access to Brick. Dialogue None Other information This quest is a puzzle challenge; you must search for 4 cubes containing Mechanism Pieces in order to fix the door, then complete a pipe minigame to open the door and continue completing Convoluted Path, Broken Mechanism, and Archive E-189-L: The Corridors war waves. Pipe minigame may be completed in either normal or upside down orientation, and is based on the minigame in the quest Pipe Dreams; there is also a hidden 'Unfair!' mode between the 'Leave' and 'Start' buttons on the pipe minigame menu screen. Easter egg: spoiler:
While upside down, clicking the hole in the wall near the first cube will reveal a maze with a "fifth cube"; reaching this cube opens the Brick shop. Pop-up headlines during the quest: quote:
You do not have all of the Mechanism Pieces required to fix the door. You try to open the cube, but it floats, menacingly, out of reach. The spinning cube opens as you approach, and you are able to pull out some Mechanism Pieces! You've gathered <x> out of 4 sets of Mechanism Pieces so far. The container still spins and floats, but is empty. You feel better! You jump and reach for the cube but it seems to almost move higher to avoid your flailing. Hi cube. Bye cube. You manage to squeeze under (over?) the hole in the wall! The cube is too far up to reach. What a tease! Flow speed increased! Will take effect on the next component. You randomly press buttons on the upside down console! Suddenly, there's a loud beep and you fall... up? to the floor and the door opens! A bypass button was added on the upside down version of the minigame on March 11, 2022.
