Plus, how do you use it effectively?

I recently got back into the game and want to step away from the Riftwalker I used for years because it's getting kind of dull, and not the best for boss fights. I've heard a lot of buzz about Technomancer but can't figure out why it's considered one of the best free classes.

Any other class-based advice for a returning player would be helpful too - thinking of buying ChaosWeaver, is it any good?

Thanks a ton. :)

For general questing, Mana Eruption skill is pretty badass - you deal reasonably high damage and actually gain mp. Basically, you start each fight with a free 250% damage attack.

Personally, though, I only started using Technomancer when I got to fighting Inn challenges. There are several reasons for that:

- Fist of all, powerful stuns. Event Horizon lowers monster's All Resist by 50 (which is also great for boosting your damage or fighting monsters with high All Res - I'm looking at you, Sepulchure), giving you fairly high chances to stun the monster with 100 Immobility Res. Sonic Boom Blaster inflicts another -50 Imm Res for the round, which - paired with 200 Mischief pet dragon - gives you a 50% chance to stun monsters with 200 Immobility Resistance.

- Secondly, high Bonus. Tog Drone Tracking gives you +100 Bonus for 5 turns, which is ridiculously useful. Add in +200 Bonus multi with only a 2-turn cooldown and those aggravating high-defense monsters become only a mild nuisance.

- Vent Heat inflicts Health Resistance - with proper timing, you can stop the monster from healing themselves.

- Finally, Technomancer has some pretty great sustain. It can restore hp and mp, and its attacks actually grow stronger the less mp you have remaining.

Chaosweaver is currently considered one of the best classes in the game due to being a quintessential glass cannon. Who doesn't like killing all monsters in 3 turns or less?

I think Primate Murder has nailed the question on the head for Inn (except the stuns aren't really relevant, and I think his math is off with with the 50% stun chance ). Technomancer just has a decent overall kit. It's well rounded, with decent defenses, good sustain, high bonus to ignore small mpm shields, and great damage all around.

If you check out my DragonFable Inn Progression Playlist, you can see a ton of Technomancer gameplay.

A class that has both a health and mana healing move is already pretty good in any situation (most classes only have one or the other), since it lets you go longer without having to use your limited potions.

Also the mana restoring move does a nice chunk of damage.
