You can spend 20 charges and apply a *1.25 Elemental Empowerment (Darkness) on yourself for 4 turns. You can have a maximum of 50 charges.

Paladin and Armor, hmm? I wonder if Necromancer class will trigger on those as well. To match up to Paladin's versatility, it'd need something extra.

But maybe not that much extra because probably being darkness is a better defensive element.

I was honestly half-expecting the Necromancer staff to have triggers against Human opponents specifically. Triggering against armored foes is interesting but I don't know if it would be nearly as universally powerful as the Paladin's anti-Undead abilities, given that Undead make up most Darkness enemies anyway.

Triggering against human opponents was actually the exact same idea that came to mind for me as well! Maybe if they triggered against humans and armor the same way Paladins triggered against Undead and demons...

We have seen a lot of ghost paladins. those are technically undead despite their original human appearance.

Even then, a lot of undead paladins seem to serve ill-aligned necromancers than they do their original paladin oath, so it would make sense not to trigger against most of them
