Welcome back! First of all, I have to mention that the stat cap has been raised to 250. That means that you can only max out three stats - and for FD rangers that's usually 250 Str/Dex/Cha. Weapons For your no-drop, I'd suggest darkness, as it lacks any exceptional weapons or shields. When Harvest Fest comes around, you'll want to pick up Fireheart Warbow, which is the strongest Burn-inflicting bow in the game. Great synergy with Neko armors. Until then, Moglin Fan is a nice utility weapon, toggling between inflicting Control and Prismatic Burn. Kindred Bow gathers charges for an autohit. Situational, but useful. Winds of Time is a generic wind bow, nothing special. E-Series Cryojet deals +20% damage for an hp cost. If you find yourself with some spare tokens, Meduso Bow toggles for a fairly high chance to petrify the monster. Otherwise, Sneakbore Crossbow inflicts poison, with a toggle to increase its duration and power. Royal Voidrender compresses Energy/Harm. Morningstar Cross has a skill for 2x damage, Alternatively, Havarti Blade sacrifices some damage for 50% chance of granting celerity to your pet and guest. Armors Level up your Neko subrace. After completing the Advanced quest, you'll get a 9th slot no-drop Neko armor (earth/light) as well as access to other advanced Neko armors. With just three slots, you can cover every element. If you find yourself with an excess of URs, pick up some Bards of War, as they have toggles for pet/guest celerity. Pick up Ghost Costume while Mogloween is here. While it's highly situational, it's also one of the best armors in the game for dodge builds. Switch your class title and train up your Necromancer levels! It's an exceptional armor for beast builds (even if the staff are still working out some bugs), with a plethora of guest summons, pet summons, and 20+ endgame skills! Though switching to Necromancer will lock out some of the best class skills, I'd still suggest grabbing yourself a Paladin armor. It has several nice guest summons, if nothing else. Shields When Snugglefest comes around, pick up Snuggle Hearts. Its Burn Potence has great synergy with Neko armors, as well as a number of pets, guests and skills. Until then, Samukematsuri Buckler is great for maintaining both a guest and a misc. Kindred shield passively gathers charges for a qc sp heal. Keep Fujin for its Dex drive. When Snugglefest comes around, switch it for Accordion shield, as its Control Potence has great synergy with Love Potion. Pick up Pies for a Cha drive. Chieftain's Ironthorn has been updated into a Str drive shield, so make sure to grab the highest level version. Umazen Aspis has Paralysis Potence. Scarab Shell has a toggle to lower monster's MRM, increasing the accuracy of not just yourself, but your pets and guests as well. Spells Beastmasters traditionally suffer from a lack of spell slots, as they have to fit in guest calls, damage and utility spells. Thankfully, Necromancer makes the task much easier, as it has an omni-elemental guest, as well as very good fire, dark, ice, wind and energy guests. And Paladin has a selection of light guests as well. When Fruitcake Zard returns to the Void, make sure to grab the guest, as it has great synergy with Umazen Aspis shield. Mogloween is here, so you have a chance to pick up Sugar Gobbler, which has a very nice petrification toggle. When Mogdin returns to the Void, pick up that guest as well - it's the strongest paralysis guest in the game. Prototype Hunter Drone (Warlic's Shop -> Quests -> War Between Shadows -> Land of Rising Evil) toggles between Harm and energy and deals +50% damage for an increased upkeep. Purple Rain remains one of the best utility spells. Warmaster's Burst (wind) SPell deals +50% damage for an hp cost, great synergy with petrification effects. Runic Binding is a Harm nuke. 74th Law inflicts Burn and Bleed, which have nice synergy with Neko armors. Pets Necromancer can summon pets for ice, fire or darkness, as well as an omni-elemental pet that toggles to deal increased damage for an upkeep cost. Underwyrmling toggles to attack monster's sp. Great utility pet against certain bosses. Fruitcake Zard has great synergy with Umazen Aspis shield. When Grenwog rolls around, pick up Mutant Egg for wind. When Woolzard returns to the Void, grab the pet, as it toggles between inflicting Sleep, EleVuln, and boosting the power of both statuses for an sp cost. Until then, Adept Protean toggles for EleVuln infliction. Evolved Proteans for Energy and Light. Keep Fairy Godmother for healing. Finally, a Harm pet might be nice, if you can spare a UR. Miscs Essence Orb, hands down one of the best miscs in the game. Like SCatalyst mentioned, one of your URs should probably be spent on Prime Chaos Orb. Cracked Ornament has great synergy with any effect inflictions. Goggernaut Helm increases the accuracy of all attacks on the field, including your pets and guests. Hollow Dragon Amulet. +Str, Dex and Cha. Grab Love Potion when Snugglefest comes around for stacking qc Control. Also available during Snugglefest, Sunburst Amulet. +20 Burn Potence, and a pure Burn infliction skill. When April Fools comes around, pick up Clever Disguise. The misc pays your turn and some sp to grant your pet and guest guaranteed celerity. Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
