  Evo
Crazy Rare Hunter

Evo
Build: Hybrid
Level: 147
Stats: STR 200 / DEX 200 / INT 200 / END 70 / LUK 20
Any Additional Notes**: It has been a long time since I spent time playing and need a lot of help to dust this guy off and get him battle ready again. Need advice on all aspects of his inventory and if I should change his build. Also I am crazy about my rares so don't judge too harshly as I always used to collect as many as I could so there is a bunch of useless items in the collection that I won't be selling. Thanks!

Oh wow, welcome back Evo! An older name but it checks out... /meme

Anyways the first thing you'll want to consider is your stat build as there have been recent changes to them. Stats now go up to 250, and you no longer need DEX for accuracy. Do you still want to be a hybrid (STR + INT?) or do you want to go a more pure route? The Hybrid outlook is these days 250 STR/INT and then your choice of CHA/END/LUK. After you make that determination, we can go over what your equips will look like. For Hybrids, you'll want to consider the 3rd stat as determining the flavor of your playstyle:

Hybrids that use CHA will heavily utilize guests and pet damage/effects. This hybrid style has the potential to leverage powerful effects during battles.
Hybrids that use END will tend to play a tanky build. Has reduced damage potential but you will tend to play the most risk-free playstyle.
Hybrids that use LUK will tend to focus purely on player-damage. You'll almost certainly go first in every battle and will focus on finishing battles fast through initiation and LUKy strikes.

Otherwise if you do not want to play hybrid anymore, you'll typically only invest in 1 MAINSTAT (STR, DEX or INT) and then spend the other 500 stats into any two of END, CHA, or LUK. And the flavors being:

END + CHA: You'll typically be playing a backlash style character which reflects damage back to the enemy.
CHA + LUK: You'll typically deal the most damage with this combination, while also being able to leverage guest/pet effects/damage.
END + LUK: Again the most risk-free playstyle as you'll typically go first a lot and you'll have HP to survive any battle.

In the meantime, a helpful resource is the community-driven AQ Fandom. It's a very good resource that is up-to-date with all the most recent information as well as optimal strategies/builds.

If nothing else I'd say run the cure now even if you don't have a set build in mind. Vamp,Werewolf, and Werepyre each have been updated to something of a 10 skill no drop armor that offers some utility if nothing else. They each also provide some gap fillers in their elemental flavors if needed. Also if you plan on saving all those rares perhaps getting the highest ranked Estate on Black Friday will be something you'll also desire for the extra slots alone. As a small mention seeing you have the Carnax fighter stuff equipped there is a new Timetwisted version of that set that hits max lvl if you wish to keep a fair bit of the look+ have it usable for high lvl play.

Yeah, I'd say that you (Evo) should consider the following as your first priority:

Subraces:
Werewolf - Pure Warrior
Vampires - Pure Mage
Werepyre - Hybrid
Neko - Ranger/Defense Hybrid

Also consider getting a Tier 3 Class:
Paladin - Hybrid, but equally flexible towards Warriors, Rangers or Mages.
Necromancer - Purely for Mages. Although different flavors exist between Beast and Pure Mages.

Keep in mind as always, you can only be 1 subrace at a time, and you can only leverage the full tree of 1 T3 class. I would also focus on getting your character to level 150 immediately due to the equal-level scaling effect of monsters which without properly scaling equipment, you'll be vulnerable especially to newer monsters with modern attack patterns.

Yep Paladin is made to work for about any build, and has enough utility to be a go to light armor, and it also performs well against undead, and demons. Granted some functions of Paladin clash with old code such as the zombie drain hp return, but for most undead it will result in them hitting your light resistance. And if you go the necro route the updated golden set has this feature built onto the shield with some of it's own anti-undead gear to use for psudo paladin on a necromancer. The said can't be said the same for necro on a paladin however at least currently so necros pull slightly ahead in the aspect at least.

But yes finding what you build towards as you make use of the current gear before needing to part with your gold stores for 150 gear costs. Also avoid going master craft gear quests like the Golden set till you hit 150 as the gear can't be upgraded resulting in you needing to play through them again. Thankfully the Retro Golden set is in Yulgar's shop so you can skip a portion of the Golden set questing if desired, and you don't mind the retro art+ extra glimmer effects.
