As a quick confirmation to clear some questions: Eligibility to receive token gifts is not tied to character age, and you don't have to be within a certain level range of the donor. However, a character needs to be at least level 25 to receive Z-Tokens during a gifting contest.

the gold cost on the Mermazon Crest Misc doesn't seem right. It seems way too expensive for a misc.

Not seeing the point in the misc. Feels a bit generic. Ok for the stats but didn't the misc from the fae set do the same thing?

I was mistaken but it was the Order of Terror and Horror misc. Guess it was the heal boost I thought was the same.

Horror and terror has no stats at all, but it does have the heal res boost yes.

Can donations be brought back to the old format where you got a pop-up message with : Found 5 000 Z-Tokens and then clicking next to get the text that it was from a donation?
I am saying this because old format updated Z-Tokens instantly like Gold did and you didnt had to do a battle to get the actual tokens and you could even see them by refreshing character pages (if you got any). I feel like this model is better to check chars fast for donations

Sorry folks but the tracking is currently broken, we are working on getting that fixed and any missing monthly Golden Giftboxes. The Coral Reefseeker Bow is now in the Mermazon Champion shop!

Players can still send and receive token gifts. Gift amounts are still being tracked and will continue to count toward the gifting total. There should be a significant jump once the tracking page is back up and running. This will also not affect the daily prize giveaway.

There was a bit of a derp with the misc, one initial idea included having a skill on it, that got nixed in favour of the Heal boost deal, but the prices on it didn't get adjusted, so whoops. That's been fixed, apologies for the bork!

The contest tracking page is back up and running! For players reporting a delay in receiving their free monthly ggbs... if you are logged in past midnight, when the free Golden Giftboxes go out, you will not receive yours until you log back in.

Just checked and we reached 9m, nice work guys! Can't wait to try those fists out later today and I have no doubt we'll reach 12m.

Just a tangential thought, I'm wondering if we could adopt a similar structure for the Winter Contests. I think this incentive structure is showing that it is working: Having prizes for all levels of participation is the most optimal model: You want guaranteed prizes, stretch goals, and ranked prizes (ideally, ranked shouldn't be rediculous so a lower top cut is preferred).

I'd be further interested in seeing what kind of distribution came out of this. I imagine it's still top-heavy given the dev-ticket prize but I'm still sticking to my guns that expanding the top cut and adding back the guaranteed prize tiers is showing positive results. I know that Z-token contest data is hidden for a number of reasons but I think it'd be useful to know for evidence that this scheme is working and that there's more participation compared to past contests.

Also another tangent: I know it's early but we should consider some time to improve the donating experience/flow when it comes up.




EDIT: Still being patient, but the Melee weapon is not in the shop yet despite us reaching out milestone. Hope it gets added soon.

Tried out using the seashell shredder, the skill softlocks the player. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

The other issue at hand, and a general critique: The skill activation should bring up a menu like most other multi-option interfaces. The way it's done right now it's pretty confusing, combined with the way that popups work (which is honestly is not that great) it's really confusing how to use these weapons. For the seashell shredder, the regions are pretty unclear and because of the messaging debounce, it's hard to tell where the clickable regions start and end.

We should consider a revert back to the old popup system. Since we have a battle log, if you really want to keep track of everything there's that, but otherwise I'd like to see the old popup system back because it's actually getting in the way of usability.

Also, Uncle Krenos and his shop is weird. If you open the shop, the scroll stays, when you click ok on the scroll, it brings you into the next fight while still in the shop menu

So hard to have a clickable weapon and a clickable shield. Not to mention clickable capes. You can't guess which click toggles what.

We are tossing around a new menu idea for equipment that should make any buttons on equipment easier to access. We are still looking into the bug with Uncle Krenos. Since the last weapon was a little late, let's release the next weapon a little early. The Tritent weapon is now available in the Mermazon Shop!

In regards to the battle log, I feel like it's nice to have but would hate to have to rely on it in its current state - I feel like it would be so much nicer if there was some way to have it occupy another window rather than blocking a lot of the action - I imagine the tech would be on the difficult end but it would open up so many quality-of-life improvements (including better status tracking, expanded information for player/enemy, and the new menu for equipment with buttons). Maybe even give an option that shrinks the screen so that the expanded window stuff can just run along the side/bottom, it would be a size sacrifice for full-screen players but everyone else could just expand the game window to stay at their normal size while having access to all the bonuses of a side window.

@Hollow: Thanks for the considerations on clickables! Though I'd still like some conversations to be had to revert the popup system back to how it was originally. The current popup messaging system gets in the way of a lot of usability and even with a menu update, that things will still be less usable.

I just mentioned the clickable issue recently. I think , if possible, all weapons, shields, pet, and guest should have a spot down on the bottom for clicking through toggles. It'd be nice if it were a global automatically placed thing, rather than an item by item manual add. Leave armor clickable on the armor. This should alleviate all the clickable blocking issues we see today. It would be a QoL improvement for both players and staff.



The magic version of the Mermazon weapon costing MP for the skills is a very welcome change. Mp-cost for magic related things needs to be a much larger implementation, IMO.
