So this is my character: https://aq.battleon.com/game/flash/charview?temp=38637727

I have rusty idea about builds. All of my knowledge are based of the wiki which is unfortunately outdated said my many.
So I知 wondering is Beast Mage the current meta build? If not can you guys suggest a build and the items and stats it need?
I知 looking for a build that will dominate all if not most fights including bosses.

Also I have 2 GB (2 UR and 2R). Any recommendations which things to get for the build you guys would suggest?

Welcome back!

Mage is most efficient build, hands down, and if you don't have double Poelala, beastmage seems pretty reasonable (with remaining stats usually in Luck for increased initiative). What you need to decide is whether you plan on an offensive build or a defensive one. FO mage reigns pretty much unmatched in terms of pure DPS, but most modern bosses have ways of countering heavy nukes. FD mage usually takes a little more time per battle, but it also brings in some survivability to replace End. Choose which one you favor, and I'd be happy to provide a full rating.

Regardless of your choice, I heavily encourage checking out the revamped T3 classes - Necromancer and Paladin. As a mage, you're more likely to use the first more often, but both of them boast 20+ skills, with several guests, nukes, toggles, and various methods of resource recovery.

I would also recommend completing the advanced Vampire quest to gain access to a second no-drop armor in Vampire Transformation. That or Sol Neko, if you decide to go FD.

Finally, regardless of which build you pick, one of your UR GGBs sould go into Prime Chaos Orb. It has a quickcast skill to scramble monster defenses which effectively gives you free elecomp. It's probably the most broken thing since Essence Orb.

Anyway, let me know which build you favor, and enjoy the game!

Hey there, thanks for replying on my thread. And regarding about the build, I'll probably go for FD mage beast master. That statement where you said modern bosses are tougher than the old ones shifted what I had in mind.

And I'll definitely check those items you mentioned, it's time for comeback.

Also that's actually 4 GB, 2 UR and 2R. Apparently I forgot how to count there lol.

Ok, let's see what I can do.

First of all, stats. You'd want to max out your Int and Cha (damage, accuracy, status infliction). You might also want to move remaining points from End to Dex as it is currently responsible for a quarter of pet/guest accuracy; it's slated to change with the next part of the stat revamp, but who knows when that's going to roll around.

Secondly, as an FD beastmaster, Sol Neko is the subrace you want. It has small passive bonuses to pet/guest damage and accuracy, does increased damage with Bleeds/Burns, and can sacrifice your protection to inflict said Burns and Bleeds.

Weapons

I would suggest setting your no-drop to darkness as the element lacks any exceptional shields or weapons for the build. Also, don't forget to switch to Staff of Awe and align your Awe special to PWD!

Loremaster's Tome compresses earth, light, and harm spells.

Healing Branch has water and healing spells.

Winds of Change Tome compresses a wind spell.

Nightbane Clawstaff summons an earth guest that toggles between pure damage and lifesteal.

Lightning Rod compresses several energy spells.

Zardwards Wand comes with two very cheap effect spells.

You didn't mention any commons, but I figure you probably have at least a few, and if so, Havarti Blade is by far the most useful item in that shop, granting your pet/guest 50% chance of gaining celerity each time you attack.

Also, please note that once you reach lvl 150 and max out your Dex, this list will change as there's a number of good bows that can compete with the weapons above.

Armors

Between Sol Neko no-drop and its three elemental variants, you should have every element covered.

Necromancer is designed for beastmages. It has several very nice guests, several powerful nukes, several sources of resource recovery, passive status potency, and more! This should be your class title.

Paladin is the other revamped t3 class. Without the proper class title, it loses several very nice features, but while it may no longer be the single most op class against undead it still has the strongest light guest, a toggle that boosts pet/guest damage, and several damage skills with a variety of effects.

Generalist Robe for Gandolphin synergy.

Bards of War are the best beastmaster armors around. Unfortunately, they each cost a UR, so you'll only get one. Choose wisely.

Shields

Titan's Fall deals significant Harm damage to the monster when you block. Great synergy with Bun-Bannerets.

Celtic Wheel has Int drive.

Yata Mirror harms the monster each time it misses. To be replaced with Fujin shield at lvl 150 for its Dex drive.

Pies and Mother's Growth each have a Cha drive.

Umazen Aspis gives +20 Paralysis potency. Excellent synergy with Queen's Corgi guest.

Mana Crystal Defender gives a small Barrier each time you cast a spell.

Spells

This is the part beastmages most struggle with, as they need to compress guests, damage spells, and effect spells all into eight slots. Here's the lineup I'd suggest:

Destruction Burst is a f2p burst spell.

Sizzler Splosion remains useful when faced with high-MRM wind mobs.

Burning Question is a spell that sacrifices half damage to inflict a strong Burn that harms both hp and sp. For use against bosses.

Pridelord is an exceptional fire guest that can give you Status Potency or deal 1.5x damage. (uses one of your Rare GGBs)

Your water and earth guests are compressed in Queen's Crown misc and Nightbane Clawstaff. Paladin brings the Manifestation guest for 2x damage.

Bun-Banneret toggles between damage and giving you DefBoost. Unfortunately, it'd be almost three months until it comes back to the Void, so in the meanwhile use Necomancer's Ancestral Wraith as your wind guest and Paladin's Apprentice for blocking. Necromancer also has Undead Beast for ice and Deathless Dracolich for dark.

Prototype Hunter Drone does 1.5x damage and toggles between energy and Harm.

Gandolphin gives you a little more survivability. Switch to Generalist Robes (imbue toggled on) before casting for maximum efficiency. (uses the other Rare GGB)

Despite being nerfed recently, Purple Rain remains a very nice spell when combined with items like SFP.

When you get another Rare, Grimlord of Nulgath is a guest that does 2x damage for an additional hp cost.

Pets

Underwyrmling toggles to attack enemy sp. Very useful against certain bosses.

Protean toggles to inflict EleVuln, increasing the damage of your water spells and Corgi's chance of inflicting a 2-turn stun.

Spotter Drake toggles between giving status potency and dealing 1.5x damage.

Necromancer has Undead Beast pet for ice. I would suggest using Bun-Banneret pet in its slot when you get your hands on it.

Woolzard toggles between inflicting Sleep and EleVuln, and can boost both effects for an sp cost. It only returns to the Void in ~2 months, so use an earth Protean until then.

For light and energy, I'd again suggest a Protean. Spells gain 2x the effect from elevuln, after all, and Hunter Drone 1.5x.

Umbral Godmother for hp/mp regen.

Miscs

Essence Orb and Prime Chaos Orb, of course.

Goggernaut Helm gives +10 bth to every attack on the field. Don't use it with Bun-Banneret or Titan's Fall, but otherwise you get effectively triple benefit as the misc doesn't /2 for spells and also affects your pet and guest attacks.

Rejuvenating Necklace gives you a little extra mp to play around with.

Shadowfeeder Pendant comes with a qc skill that allows you to stack celerity. For use with Purple Rain.

Queen's Crown summons the best Paralysis guest in the game. 100% chance of attempting infliction, +5 to save, modified by water resistance (so a chance of 2-turn stun againt WaterRes>100).

Frostgale's Remorse gives +20 Paralysis Potency for your Corgi guest. That's a total of +45 to save if used with Umazen Aspis.

Necro Minion Hats (dark and fire cost gold) and attempt to inflict Bleed or Burn, so take your pick.

That's about it, I think.

Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Now this is a well thought guide.

For now I値l get those items you mentioned since what I got right now, majority are severely lackluster and outdated.
I値l probably go for the cure quest first since I知 currently a vampire. I didn稚 even know neko race exists until you mentioned it.
And that will also serve as a test for the items cause yesterday I tried the quest and can稚 even past the 1st mob.

Regardless thanks a lot dude, really appreciate taking the time to create this.

Edit: Never thought you could change race without doing the cure quest.
