Apocalypse -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 1:25:34)

I'd like to make a brief request of Remaint and Draycos to refrain from posting until a couple of the others have had a chance to react. I'm sure most would like to join in the fun as well.

EDIT: @Kell - I would also like to know the fate of Cendra and those chains, if you will. Would help with the flow of my post, but far from a requirement.

Remaint -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 1:30:13)

Will do, Apocalypse!

I have to wonder; what would the Magister think, if he finds out his chosen are already half dead before the impending journey.

Bastet -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 2:39:31)

Sorry for that, Kell, it's been cleared up.

It's a rather curious bug that's been happening to me: sometimes my inbox fills up even though the amount of messages within it shouldn't nearly be enough to cause it to happen.

@Remaint: I doubt everyone picked different sins, I expect there to have been quite a number of overlapping ones. It would be quite hilarious if everyone actually picked a unique one.

Vanir -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 8:23:31)

It seems everyone's primary sin is pride. Selene certainly has a big mouth. I'll get a post in tonight. Flannagon has something to say now.

Bastet -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 8:24:53)

I didn't pick pride, myself.

[:)]

Draycos777 -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 8:37:13)

Ya, nope, it's not that one.

Caststarter -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 14:22:53)

Weellll... nice to know we are already read to slaughter each other... XP And already someone decided to push Marisa's berserk button. More fun!

Oh... and I noticed I am the only one writing in 1st person. Whhyyyyy? This is awkward! xP

Bastet -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 16:01:42)

It's an interesting style of writing, but not my cup of tea precisely. I've always been writing in third person.

Remaint -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 16:38:12)

I use too many 'I's for my liking in first person. Third person allows me to use more descriptions in detailing the character I play. Third person's also sufficient if I want more 'I's.

Nilch'i murdered in what seems to be a flash of rage; I'll guess she's Wrath as well. Marisa seemed easily offended by being called a child, so she could be Pride.

Kellehendros -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 18:42:55)

As an aside for those who are interested, the count follows:
2 Lust, 2 Pride, 2 Envy, 1 Greed, 1 Wrath

You may, of course, speculate on that information. I would prefer that you do not, however, share whether or not the guesses of the others are correct.

Bastet, answered your PM.

Apoc, I'll be on IRC tonight if you want to discuss things. Shoot me a PM otherwise.

Caststarter, I am not in love with first-person in RPs. I'm not going to ask you to switch over to third-person. It is ultimately a matter of personal preference. I think my dislike of it stems from the fact that first person is more of a single-character-centric style, and an RP doesn't focus on one character over the others.

I would like to ask for a cessation of further posts until Ryu has had a chance to get his first post up. There is, of course, nothing to stop you from drafting your posts ahead of time, but I'd appreciate some forbearance at this juncture.

Vanir -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 19:43:04)

Okay. I'll save my post until Ryu can join us, but I'm getting it all ready to go.

Apocalypse -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 21:34:27)

Will likewise prepare something, but may throw it out depending on Ryu's entrance. But I'll be prepared.

@Kell: About to get on a train, so can't do IRC but don't worry about it. I have a more satisfactory alternative than what I originally had in mind.

Kellehendros -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/13/2016 23:01:07)

Was speaking with Ryu on IRC. Put my response up after that discussion. He said the post should be completed, hopefully tonight.

I appreciate your forbearance on this matter. Once Ryu's post is up I'll open things up again.

Kellehendros -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/15/2016 18:49:20)

At this time I am reopening the thread to responses. I thank you again for your patience.

Draycos777 -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/15/2016 19:17:37)

I shall await vanir's post then.

Apocalypse -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/15/2016 21:17:20)

Finishing up my draft and then smoothing it out. Should be up in an hour or two.

EDIT: Ah! Bested in time by Vanir! Need to fix more stuff! Need more time!

EDIT the SECOND: Having trouble with post. Will clean is up some, but I'll return to it tomorrow. Need a fresh mind for this one.

Draycos777 -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/16/2016 15:05:18)

I love how everyone thought that Selena was serious about the brothel thing.

Ryu Viranesh -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/16/2016 16:15:06)

Apologies that this first post took a while longer than I'd have liked. Had a bit of writer's block which ultimately turned into a writer's glut; I expect output will be a tad faster going forward though. Now, let the games begin.

Kellehendros -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/16/2016 23:23:53)

A side-wise note on the post itself: Most Palorans would not recognize a pocketwatch. In Palora time is generally kept by candlemarks or sandglasses. Pocketwatches are rare and very expensive, so you would be very unlikely to see one outside the noble areas of the city.

TJByrum -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/17/2016 9:05:40)

A shame I didn't stick around to join this. Looks well done, Kell, good job. I'm going to check out the IC and see how thing's are going.

Remaint -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/19/2016 10:59:13)

quote:

"I want-" Selene quickly closed her hand into a fist; "I want to change the world, and this is the first step."

Did I, uh, guess any of Selene's goals with my Team Rocket poem? :D

Draycos777 -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/19/2016 17:25:33)

not completely.

Vanir -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/19/2016 17:51:48)

I don't think Selene and Flannagon are going to be friends.

Caststarter -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/19/2016 17:53:02)

...What are with the spiderwebs, by chance? Because... they are kind of just there but you are also planning something.

In any case, shorty today.

Apocalypse -> RE: When Heroes Fail - OOC (1/19/2016 23:30:59)

Hmm, let's see how this pans out...
