The town is still covered with fog, right? I'm assuming that it is. Corvus makes his appearance!

Awwwe yeah, we have some serious reinforcements now! Whom may dare stand against highly experienced holy warriors by name of Corvus and Vlad, supported by three sharp archers, an anti-magic musketeer and a magical vampire?

An even stronger magical vampire with a white top hat:p

Edit:@Kooroo

Yes, you very well could have Shrike wander off, however, he won't get very far since the fog is keeping everyone that is within the area of Blackwater from leaving. If he does try to leave town, he'll end up finding himself back at the town's gate.

It's more of a 'wander into fighting' thing. Not out of town.
Prolly changing the post again, hm.

I can confirm I'll be joining this RP again some time next week. My schedule may not be freeing up as much as I wish it did, but I'll have time to RP again and I really can't stay away from the Hallow's and the freedom of roleplaying it provides. Thanks again for re-hosting it, Draycos. You're a credit to this subforum.

Nah, not really. I just didn't want to see Hollows go away:p

Also, @Vanir: I noticed that you didn't put in a exit for Worms yet, so his exit will be in my next reaction post.

Oh, in the excitement of my new character I kind of forgot about him. If you are willing to wrap that up for me I do appreciate it. Take full liberties.

Sorry, Kells! I really am trying to get something out, but am having trouble. Quick question, though. Marietta holds her blade with two hands, but a quick internet search of a shamshir said that it was a one-handed blade, so is she just holding it wrong or is her blade actually meant for both hands?

No worries, Gingkage. As I said before, I had some problems myself getting back into Marietta's head.

As for the sword: Yes, she is holding it wrong. This is partly because she has no idea what she is doing, and partly because the sword isn't hers. It was originally designed for one of her friends who was larger than she is, so it is a little on the large side.

Mainly through, it's that she has no idea what she's doing. I wouldn't suggest standing too close when she starts swinging.

The general thing about swords is that they were custom made to whomever ordered it. Just as there's at least a single example of a two handed rapier, there could be examples of two handed Shamshir.

In life, or a model of it, the situation dictates the weapon. One reason as to why two-handed weapons became popular is the predominance of very protective armour, as in the case of Europe and Japan. Wherever our dear elf fought, maybe there were heavily armoured people who had a taste for leverage and speed, hence custom two-handed shamshir.

Unless you get very developed hilts in the form of early-to-mid baskethilts, or general tulwars and certain spatha, most one-hand swords allow for a bit of two-handing if you really want to do it.

Hey, Remi, not sure if you know or not, but the button that says hr, at the top, when you're making or editing a post gives you a page break. Try using that instead of making a line with ~.

Also, no problem, I keep updating cuz I remember with the Nazha arc, people got lost everytime TJ forgot to post the Nazha's condition after every reply:P

Is it feasible for Essex to kill the fox? I really wanna kill the fox, but I always hesitate killing a monster I don't control the actions of in case I end up bunnying/godmodding. Permission to kill, Draycos?

Permission granted, but you'll have to find a way to kill it other than Essex's heart-seeking skill. Not saying he can't use it, but as I showed in my post, the shadow foxes don't have blood, so the heart is pretty much undeveloped and useless to them.

Wait, so if they have no blood/heart, how can we kill the foxes? Poky objects like swords, daggers and arrows would have like no effect on them. Do we have to bludgeon them to death with hammers? Use magic?

Would stabbing them repeatedly work? If Essex tries for a heart-kill and realizes the creature has no heart, he'd likely panic and stab it as many times as possible within a short period of time.

Oh no, they work. The magic that keeps them in existence acts like a kind of blood for them. Everytime they are hurt a bit of the magic leaks out. When it is depleted, they fade from existence. They can recover it by consuming or by stay in a place with abundant dark magic(like the darkward). They also feel pain and the like. I said that they have an undeveloped heart not that they have no heart. The shadow foxes are in a stage in-between fake creatures and real living beings. The latter of which is what they want to become.

Edit: yes that could work as well.

Hey folks, just dropping a note. I'm going to try and get a post together between tonight and tomorrow. Holiday-related business, what can you do? At the latest, I'll have something up Saturday, though I hope it won't be delayed that long.

Sorry, sorry! I have literally no excuse for not having written something before now. Guess I'm still having a hard time getting back into Sera's head. Will work on something in the window I've got before heading out to work. If it's not up by then, it will be up sometime today.

Okay. It's not the greatest, but it's something. Again, sorry it took so long to get out.

Once this arc ends, I'll try and bring Marcelline back in to the world and restart her arc with the Stone Faced Saint.
