Artix Forum Updates -- 8/25/2026 18:00:00
Greetings,

This version of the official Artix Entertainment forum first went online in 2005. Since then, we have shared over 20 years of epic adventures while posting here to coordinate taking down bosses, completing challenges, hosting insane RPG tournaments, and viewing countless works of creativity from player writers, artists, and designers.

Over that time, the internet has changed in many ways. Countries around the world are increasingly focused on how to better protect people (especially children) online. That is a goal we are always on board with, too. To do that on our end responsibly, we are changing who can use the forum and what features are accessible to regular posters over the next few months. By moving on this now, we are giving you (and the game/forum teams) time to get used to the phased changes.

The forums are not being removed or taken offline. We plan to keep the boards online as long as we are making games... and we have no plans to stop doing that. Ever.

Timeline

Now: New account registration has been turned off. All posters are still able to create new posts and send/receive private messages.

September 1st: The ability to send private messages will be turned off for all forum posters.
You will still be able to create new posts and access your PM inbox, but not send new messages. Moderators will still be able to send messages.

December 31st: The Artix Entertainment Official Forum will be locked down to new posts, and changed to view-only for all regular posters.
The forum will remain online and available for archival purposes. Moderators and admins will still be able to create new posts.

Community Interaction
The way we get to interact with everyone making up our videogame community is one of the best things about Artix Entertainment. That will not change. We currently have the official Artix Entertainment Official Discord server, and there are a number of player-run community servers, as well. The team is also looking at expanding on a built-in community forum option through Zendesk in the future.

AQ & DF Pedias
We are currently looking at options for how to handle shifting over the AdventureQuest and DragonFable Pedias. Each has over 20 years of posts that need to be recreated, which is a herculean task. Right now, the best option is to automate the recreation and host the new pedias/wikis on our sites. Beginning this process now gives us time to finalize the details and begin implementing changes before the forum is locked down at the end of the year.

We have always said we make Artix Games for and with you, the members of our community, and that will always be true... no matter where or how we are sharing adventures together.
