There needs to be a way to kick your main player out of the party. I am a guardian, but not a dragon lord, so I cant save armor. Which means i have to fight with a level 18 that acts like a level one and a level 4 against level 14 monsters. Either you let everyone save armor (Not what I want you to do, and not what i expect you to do) Or let us remove him from the party.

@PowerWordPie Wouldn't removing your character actually weaken your team? I know since your only a guardian that you can't save armour but with the skills of your main character wouldn't the fights be easier than without him?

@Necrotix: How do you get Ash through Akriloth???? I don't see an option, unless I look over it. Oh I see it now, it requires a Dragon Amulet, like everything in this game :S

@PowerWordPie: Maybe so but that simply means you are going to have to think up a far better way to kill the basilisks other than through sheer power.
For example, I am extremely close to beating the last basilisk (I don't have a DA mind you), through a clever scheme I came up with my mage. I either put the bugger to sleep or make it literally blind by blinding it with my skill and Ash's
stab attack which gives it -100 to hit :P.
Sure my mage hits weak but I have the time to get to Power Up, use my DoT and use my guaranteed Critical without the fear of Ash dying or losing uneeded HP because of a wasted turn.
Want to know how effective the strategy is?
I got well up to the last boss and only just lost having reduced the thing to 200 HP below before finding I had no potions left. Don't expect to breeze through the thing at level 4 either. My Ash is nearly level 10 and my main only level 31.
Also the thing isn't scaled. The highest level the monsters go up to is 14 or 15.
So kicking your character out of the party won't help you at all.
The reason the staff did this was because it used to scale up to the highest level person inyour party. If you really want to beat it then train up Ash a lot more OR upgrade (what the staff want) because it is very difficult to beat the cave without your main's equips on.

I agree with the non-DA's above.

My Ash has the most powerful weapon I could find in the game (Earth Breaker), but because of the basilisks being level 15, I simply can't beat them all!
Especially since the last one has like 1000 health. It's impossible!

Either let guardians save their characters, let us remove our characters and fight a fair battle, or put something in that will make the fights doable, like a healing pad or a potions bag.

Has anyone actually beaten Ash without a DA?

ok orb of saving for your house, is expensive for ash ( 20 000 gold ) and the armor closet costs dc, so i just enjoy the story and change before going on quests.
the basilisks remember are vulnerable to wind weps so equip your main with the strongest wind wep you can get and best armor you have.

I believe the staff are using this quest basically to say, 'You want more Ash?! Then UPGRADE!!!'
Also the Basilisks are NOT scaled. Removing your character will not make it any easier. They will still be level 15.

Would find it fun if Ash got so sick and tired of always failing at everything (and i mean everything!) then returns to one of the Necro's lair and starts reading the books there. After some training he finds out that he isn't a complete failure. He have just been playing for the wrong team. So that the players can get to option to play good or evil. Since he got the sword from the stone (as the storyline have been on a "Once upon a time" string you just as the choosen one picks the stone up from the rock and defeates all evil. Maybe reversed? Just a thought.
