quote:

The armor you mentioned LOOKS unappealing due to its resistances (Decent defenses though) and the fact that their lower level versions have proven sub-par to say the least, although I suppose I'll give it a try since WF has given me an ungodly amount of gold with nothing to spend it on.

The armor, as I've stated in my previous post, is good for offense, not defense. The reason is in the previous post too, its because monsters rarely hit over 50 damage with bad resistances. With a good Gauntlet, that number should decrease as well. The defense may be sub-par, but trust me, its worth it ;-)

Its offense is the best part of the armor. Stable damage can be dealt with the Weapon Throw Skill, or the Knee Attack if you want more power, but less BtH. The Kick attack is something to look out for. 40% of the time, it'll deal weaker damage than the Knee / Weapon Throw. However, if you get the two hit attack, it'll be a bit stronger. When the jump-kick attack occurs, it will deal a devastating blow. Not too much BtH, but if it hits, it'll turn the tide of the battle, or make your victory come sooner if you were already going to win.

And the weapon guide is not updated. In fact, its about 2 months old.

Is there a Bug?,I reach lev 48 and the game say I couldn't go any further though the stated cap is lev 50...

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/12/2010 21:46:03)

Did you try clearing your cache? It usually fixes the problem. If you still cannot gain any EXP, then report it in the Game Engine Bugs Thread.

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/12/2010 22:22:25)

Hello Again, I just reached level 40 (I've slowed up more than planned unfortunately) and I was hoping to receive advice again on what the very best weapons/gauntlets, etc are. I'm not really linking my character because I don't want my current items to stop you from stating your opinions. I'm a striker still, 100 STR/DEX (at 50 it'll be 150 STR 100 DEX), and being 40 it means I'm a Warp Guardian.

EDIT: Does anyone know when the January release will be and if possible could anyone write a list of the best possible gear (Like this post and my previous one for level 35) for every 5 levels (in other words, every 5 levels, so that I wouldn't have to continue asking people and filling this post, thanks again everyone!).

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/13/2010 1:01:12)

Anhilation2: Look at the Encyclopedia - Index, by level, (type and element for weapons).

The best Gaunlet for a Striker is Power Gaunlet since it provides better BTH and defenses especially Melee defense than other Gaunlets.

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/13/2010 1:34:27)

I didn't even know that was possible, or else I'd be constructing my own lists, etc (now that I know how to properly understand stats), and I'd always wanted to say that I wish that the encyclopedia for AQ/WF was much more like (I hate to bring up other games in these forums) World of Warcraft's http://www.thottbot.com in which you could filter level, location, quality, etc. So this is very very VERY good for me to know, but do you think you can explain how to use this function you mentioned?

EDIT: The encyclopedia for WF seems very much incomplete. Not mentioning a lot of items I even own at this point in time, no sonic axe, etc, etc.
EDIT2: In other words Yes I figures out how to use an encyclopedia. I'm so clever.

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/13/2010 20:28:53)

>> Does anyone know when the January release will be

Stated in the Newsletter (AQ), it'll be here next week :)

searis -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/14/2010 14:30:53)

I cannot defeat Tronzor. Also, are we not allowed to use techs against him?

Here are my stats - would love some advice:

Level 9
STR 0
DEX 20
INT 0
END 0
CHA 0
LUK 0

http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=69210798

Help please! Thanks!

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/14/2010 19:11:31)

@Searis

Tronzor is EXTREMELY difficult when you only just begin to train stats and continues to be for a bit after that. Also you are able to use skills/techs against him, but it depends on what you are training, for example to train STR you're meant to only use melee attacks (his other defenses are raised to 65) and techs, etc are disabled, DEX you are only meant to use ranged attacks (Although you are allowed to use melee weapons since strikers need Dexterity as well, so it's basically the same as strength, skills/techs are disabled for DEX training as well). Training INT will have you forced to use mainly Techs/Skills since it's the talent that raises your skill with them. To train END you need to "Survive", which is where Tronzor basically is strengthened a lot to have extremely difficult defenses and strong attacks, however you're able to use everything at your disposal against him. To train CHA (charisma) you need to kill him with pets/guests (though you can use pets and guests while training the other stats with 0 penalty), this sounds confusing but it basically means your attacks against him do near nothing (They will miss very very often, although you can use anything you want against him) whereas your pets/guests will be doing most of your damage. Training LUK is very simple, the only rule being that you cannot use potions in that battle (You can use everything else against him though and his defenses are nice and low).

Hope that helps!

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/14/2010 19:47:11)

searis: You cannot use Tech when you're training STR.
You can use Tech, but not the Attack button when you're training INT.
Here is a list from moneybags.

Tips to beat Tronzor easier:
1). Take Zorboz(a guest) and Glador(a pet) or other Guest/Pet to help you in battle.
2). Use Health/Energy Potion if needed.
3). Reapeting Logout - Login to refrain new potions.
4). You can get at max 50 Health/Energy Potions from the quest in Sick Bay.
5). Just click the Pets button when you cannot heal/use Tech when you're training INT.

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/15/2010 2:10:05)

Yeah, that's what I said, you just can't use them against him when you're training luck, you can when training everything else. I had to use potions to kill him, even with guests, for so damned long.

Also, the TERRIBLE Annihilation needs another bit of advice, same as I always say anyway, I'm level 46 now, need to know what the best of everything is for now and for when I hit level 50. I wouldn't ask but the encyclopedia is very much incomplete at this point in time, so it's not reliable enough for me to use for this.

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/15/2010 8:14:02)

Anhilation2: Take a look here WG Striker Weapons Guide - Made by Mazic

The best Melee Weapons at lvl 50 around:
1). Light - BlaZing Gathorax(L50, Z-Tokens)
2A). Darkness - Baleful Galaxythe(L50, Gold)
2B). Darkness - Shadowy Beam Staff(L45, Z-Tokens)
2C). Darkness - Fatal Galaxythe Z(L55, Z-Tokens)
3). Ice - Glacial Beam Sword Z(L40, Z-Tokens)

searis -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/15/2010 11:48:45)

Thanks guys! I wasn't aware of the logout/login trick! Also, I am "borrowing" the Earth weapon from the Z-Store - which helped a lot!

I have trained up all my skills to:

http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=69210798

Level 14
STR 0
DEX 40
INT 0
END 10
CHA 0
LUK 10

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/15/2010 14:30:49)

Thanks for mentioning the guide strangeface, but as I mentioned earlier it suffers the same issue as the encyclopedia; Being out of date.

moneybags -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/16/2010 0:50:24)

Anhilation2, looking at your other posts, you're a Striker wanting the best weapons for level 50, regardless of its type (Gun, Stick) as long as its the highest level of the element? In that case, I'll be able to compile a list :) Just a note, as Aelthai has stated, as a Striker, you should stick with Melee weapons, not guns, but its your character, so it'll be up to you.

Fire: VGB Mark III (Use skills when attaking; firing the gun won't be as strong for you) (It isn't in the Pedia, but you can get it from Trinni -> to Saitren)
Water: Asteroid Cutter Mod V2
Wind: Sonic Axe (You know where to get this one ;-))
Ice: PepperMint Cane (Lvl 50). It'll be in the WG shop for a limited time, so get it quick!
Earth: Default
Energy: Stun Baton XV50
Light: Tronzor's Palpable Dual Blade (Spy Hunt mission from WG Tower)
Darkness: Baleful Galaxythe (DIE to get it)

For spells, just get the highest healing spell available. Since you have no INT trained, use your MP for healing spells when you need them. Summoning spells are also good.

In the Battlesuits category, I just use my Warp Star Ninja. Its a beastly offensive armor. Defensively, I've got the Heavy Gunner Model WD.

You shouldn't have any problems with other categories at the moment. There aren't much items in those categories, so you should easily be able to tell which item is better just be looking at the level.

Anhilation2 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/16/2010 2:40:54)

YAY! Thanks money, but yeah, just the strongest non-token striker weapons, so yeah, thanks again.

Nex del Vida -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/16/2010 12:40:13)

Actually, you can't get the Stun Baton XV50. It's in the Commander's Arsenal, which we can't access yet. The best Striker Energy weapon currently available is the Charged Laser Chucks from the Save the Queen mission in the Guardian Tower.

Digital X -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/22/2010 9:51:34)

All the enemies I find in "Battle Monsters" seem to be very easy, are there any boss like monsters, or monsters that are considerably more difficult than those in Battle Monsters?

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/22/2010 17:14:02)

Try the quest part 3 where you can earn Potions - Sick Bay > Captain Daian.

Digital X -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/23/2010 6:34:18)

Will check that out, thanks Mysterious.

SIGMUND -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/23/2010 8:43:06)

Have All the attack damage values been nerfed again?

redsoxman1 -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/23/2010 9:38:29)

What is the best pet for a level 16

Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/23/2010 10:48:30)

redsoxman1: Check out here Pets/Guests by Level

They would be:

Level 15 8A51C Model A (Guardian)
Level 15 Playful WarpComet (Guardian)
Level 15 WG Whistling Quog (Guardian)

Z-Tokens
Level 15 8A51C Model CZ
Level 15 Extreme Glador Z
Level 15 Skitter Z

Darkling -> RE: =WF= Questions and Answers Thread (1/23/2010 11:40:08)

Any advise here just looking for some goals.
Whether that be weapons, stat training, pets, weapons, etc.
I am open to token items too if they are very beneficial.

If this thread does not belong here, I have no idea where to put it :)
