I'm not entirely sure about this, but for the level 10 version of the nerfkitten when it nerfs the Defense Mods, it doesn't always add 3%. At 100% it adds 3% and at 150% it adds 5%. Also at 80% it only adds 2%. At 120% it adds 4%. Could someone look into this for me please? It's something I noticed, but want to see if it happens for anyone else.

Nothing new, not a bug, and definitly nothing bad.

it adds 3% to modifiers, and subtracts *3* from stats and defences. 3% at 100% modifer is 3%, at 200% modifier, its 6% etc. you can calculate what each defensive modifier will give to see if its worthwhile using the pet... but yeah, dont worry about it, its how its supposed to work.

lycan4lyfe -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/15/2007 11:14:00)

Cheers, just making sure lol. But the thing is, it's supposed to make -100% into -97%, but with anything 10% and below it adds nothing.

Clones are now CHA-based (Player triggers still work on them like orbs and shields)

Clone requires 130 CHA for 100% attack rate (60 TD) 80 CHA for 75% attack rate

Little Clone requires 160 CHA for 100% attack rate (90 TD) 110 CHA for 75% attack rate

Big Clone requires 190 CHA for 100% attack rate (120 TD) 140 CHA for 75% attack rate

Amount of CHA required for 100% attack rate = TD + 66 (rounded off to 70 usually)

The attack rate is 67% - [(TD - Cha)/2] - Kal

Flaming skull's BTH is 50 i think.

Threatenforce -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/21/2007 10:18:49)

It appears there is a trigger on Drakels with Cudgel, dealing Element X on them.

Additionally, Galanoth does NOT have a 100% attack rate, as his entry incorrectly states. On my last test, he attacked only 8 out of 10 times, and has attacked as infrequently as 5 out of 10 rounds.

Aves -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/24/2007 23:01:52)

Draklin from the lvl. 85 spell does not attack at a 100% at 200 CHA.
I'm also seeing that he attacks 2 hits of energy or 2 hits of earth, each hitting at 6-20

2Cold -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/25/2007 16:53:14)

It's small, but for the level 90 Nerfkitten entry, it says that the Nerfkitten will add a positive 3% to enemy resistances, when in fact it's 6%.

...I know it's small, bear with me

Asenbesen -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/26/2007 14:42:26)

Something seems to be wrong with the attack rate formulas for the Nerfkitten pet.
The level 10 pet has a training difficulty of 40, so it needs 110 CHA to attack 100% of the time. Yet, with the formulas given in the entry, it would already attack 100% of the time with only 55 CHA, because with 55 CHA attack 1 has a chance of 50% of happening and attack 2 also has a chance of 50% of happening, resulting in an attack rate of 100%.
I think the formulas should be changed to 24% + (0.50% * [Player CHA])/2 for the level 10 pet, 14% + (0.50% * [CHA])/2 for the level 50 pet and 4% + (0.50% * [CHA])/2 for the level 90 pet. That way, they would make more sense and you'd actually need 110 CHA for the level 10 pet to have a chance of using its first attack 50% of the time and its second attack the other 50% of the time.

Either that, or you could add the formula x% + (0.50% * [Player CHA]) to determine the overall attack rate and note that each attack has a 50% chance of happening when the pet attacks.

jimbo32 -> RE: Pets/Guests (4/26/2007 17:43:53)

@Asenbesen:
According to Kalanyr, the attack rates at 0 CHA are 47%, 27%, and 7%. If that's correct, the formula should actually be [47% + (CHA*0.48)] for the level 10 pet (and like you said, each attack has a 50% chance of happening).

It may be helpful to include Kal's original post about the attack rates:

quote:

Original: Kalanyr

For the level 10 Pet:
Charisma 0 = 47% Attack Rate
Charisma 40 = 67% Attack Rate
Charisma 110 = 100% Attack Rate

For the Level 60 Pet:
Charisma 0 = 27% Attack Rate
Charisma 80 = 67% Attack Rate
Charisma 150 = 100% Attack Rate

For the level 90 Pet:
Charisma 0 = 7% Attack Rate
Charisma 120 = 67% Attack Rate
Charisma 190 = 100% Attack Rate

(Numbers in between the above are of course in between the two values on either side, in general every 2 points of Charisma under/over is -/+ 1% Attack Rate (respectively)).

lvl 45 is 680g
lvl 70 is 1600g
lvl 90 is 2800g

coolman951 -> RE: Pets/Guests (5/1/2007 17:00:29)

Training Difficulty: 65

For the Level 90 DragonKitten

And attack rate seems like 100% when meeting the training difficulty, because it attacks about 80% of the time with my CHA. And the double hit seems like 33% of the time, which is a ripoff =\. Because the double hit does 20-52, not the normal one...
