Hi you still replying questions? Sure am! 1) Do you work with the artwork of DF? (not english speaking, hope I got it right) You said it fine. I'm not actually an employee of AE/DF Staff. I just volunteer my time on the boards. I don't work on technical aspects of the games. That being said I think the artwork is great! 2) How stressing are the days of work with DF normally from 1-10? Again, I wouldn't know but I'd assume they can be quite stressful and when cramming to get releases out that standard work hours don't apply. As an AK I work sporadic hours but try to get on the forums at least once a day, though it's often more. 3) Is it fun to work with something you actually like to do? Or can it sometimes also be boring? I assume deriving enjoyment from it makes the AE Team's work more fulfilling. However, it's still hard work and likely quite tedious at times which I'd expect gets tiring. Though I imagine with all the commotion life in the secret underground lab is very rarely boring... 4) Are you satisfied with the combat system of DF or could it be improved ftw? I find it very satisfying. Of course with all things, even great ones, there is always room for improvement. 5) How did you get inspired to call yourself Landis? It came in a vision — a land crab appeared on a flaming pie and said unto me, "From this day on you are LAND IS with no space" ;) 6) Is there any deeper language or historical meaning with the name Landis? It stands for Living All Night's Dreams In Sorrow. Yet another invented answer pulled from my Acronym Silliness Storage. ;) (for real answer see post 103 on page five of this thread) 7) Do you have alot of fun at work? I have a lot of fun being an AK though my official work is full-time grad school, a practicum and part-time CMT bodywork. All these things are fulfilling, enjoyable at times and a lot of work! 8) Do you get a good payment for working with DF? (no number needed, understand if it's too personal) Knowledge, gratitude and the satisfaction of a job well done is my reward. ;) 9) Do you like/know One Piece? If yes to any, do you see all the hidden small details that One Piece relates to? Like for example alot of different fairytales and known stories ;D (One Piece fan! Zorro ftw!) I'm not familiar with "once piece" but it sounds interesting so I think I shall look into it! 10) Do you excersice your body, so you don't get damages, when you sit down and work with computer all day? Excellent question! I used to have a pretty regular workout routine though I've slacked off as of late. I do ride my bike everywhere which, on the hills of SF, is no small task. 11) Did I get all my questions right, or did I misunderstand something? All your questions were very well constructed. The one takeaway to remember is that AKs technically don't work for DF/The AE Team. ;) 12) How many hours do you work at a normal work day? That varies greatly depending on the day, my school workload and practicum. 13) Do you know the Dragonlance book series? Did you get inspired from that and used that in DF? (personally love dragonlance. Raistlin ftw! Wanna be evil schizofrenic too lmao or whtever lol) I do know the series. I don't know if any part of it was inspiration for DF. 14) Did you get inspired from WoW in making DF? I believe the AE Team enjoys parodying WoW at times but makes it a point to create a gaming experience different from it. 15) I think DF is a game worth paying a little DA :) I believe I spend my money well! Keep up the good work! And the question ... This job sucks ... A tiny tiny little bit? Wouldn't you rather put stickers/marks/Idontkknowwhatyoucallit at apples (someone HAS to do it, no?) I'll do my best as an AK. To answer your question, all jobs suck at one point or another, though I'd much rather be doing this than putting stickers on apples! ;)
