trizz, why u need tokens, why u need credits? why u need weapons? ed would never release good weapons from a mission EVEN THOUGH YES IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA, but they just won't do it. ha. why u need tokens when faction flags dont do anything, why u need credits when u spend tons of money on varium, ( im saying that people who dont spend money dont play, and since ur playing, u spend varium.) why u need weapons when u already have the best looking weps ( some for free since u draw ur own so weell done :D) so ya. ed is screwed.

I really want credit scaling. As I level up, I find it increasingly hard to get credits for rares because the drops remain the same.

oh rly? i wouldn't say it if i am not confident that it will happen, i have discussed it with the devs and they think that it is a great idea to have weekly missions so players can get occupied with them instead of doing pointless pvp while the devs can peacefully work on the events for a few weeks, wouldn't people like PVPing with a purpose? that's why i am bring this idea to them.

does that apply to everyone who plays? i guess not, not everyone can constantly pay $50, plus i don't pay anymore, i can do just fine by using credits.

you need weapons for variety, putting different cores on different weapons/items when they implement more cores, i do get them for free but i still need to use credits to upgrade them to lvl 35 and add cores on them.

PvPing with a purpose (weekly missions) will only last so long.

@above perhaps i didn't mention that there will be new missions with new kinds of rewards each week ranging from credits to building an item from different parts, the weeksly missions will go rare and another weekly mission replaces it, the missions would take atleast 2-4 days to complete depends on one's luck in battle.

@above balance issues? there will always be balance issues, one cannot rid of it forever, the issues always come when they implement new classes, cores, skills etc...
the balance now is pretty good compared to delta where strength/5 focus bloodmages and smoke/massacre build reigns, i don't know whats going on the minds of those who hates 5 focus but i personally find it to be the most interesting and strategic build to use, you have so many options to choose from and you don't always use the same attacks in the same order all the time.

at least back in delta you had more options other than focus.

now every class' good build is only focus. (except for tech mage)

and yeah they will never balance the classes. thats why i would prefer if they just got rid of them and allowed custom skill trees.

not true, support builds is still very effective in 2v2 same goes for strength builds.

except 5 focus was still very good for all classes back in delta. but it wasn't the end all be all that it is now.

so because there were str builds that could match 5 focus builds, they were unbalanced?

i wasn't the only one who suggested custom skill trees. (Xendran suggested something similar too)
and i put limitations on my suggestions. so that people wouldn't panic about having passive armor and reroute/bloodlust in the same tree.

the game has been out since like mid 2009, and not once have they had balance between the classes.

now assimilation is un-blockable.

when they introduced 3 new classes in delta? caused alot of harm.

focus is more fun to play, i spent most of the time back in delta as a high strength and support cyber hunter with malf and massacre, trust me it was deadly, i can defeat any focus builds except focus bloodmages but it wasn't fun since i have to go through the same order of attacks every battle.

it still wouldn't work, since people would create builds with great synergy between skills that can easily become overpowered or too useful.

and i played enough in delta to know that
Focus BM and focus TLM > everything else.
focus was still the top dog in delta, they just had better competition in other builds though.

no durr, really?
thats kind of the point. to create for yourself. not have predetermined builds.
i would prefer creativity and custom skill trees over what we have now.

also i already explained in the suggestion thread on the benefits. its to create the type of build you want, with skills that help your style of play.

so if that's the point then there is more of a reason to not to implement this. it would be harder to balance and you would end up with everybody using the same effective build all over again. once people finds a powerful build, they copy it without second thoughts.

except you only have to balance SKILLS, not classes.
balancing classes has already proved many times that it is too hard for them.

once again, the root of all problems. build copying.
heal loop wouldn't be considered "OP" if it wasn't copied and abused by the masses instead of 1 individual player.

the same goes for any other strong build.

In no way is a custom build going to improve the situation here. ED players cannot actually comprehend strategy (85% or so) and end up copying from something good. And as I keeep stating, classes have some certain ideas that should not be violated. Slight changing here and there might be ok, but the thing will end up too complex.

Eg. Custom Class - Plasma bolt + Blood Lust. Bang! 90% + wins.

yes that's the problem, no matter how many times you attempt to balance the game, once there is a build that is stronger than the others, people will copy it and there is nothing you can do about it, same goes for the custom skill tree.

and if this were the case, it will only further prove that the skills themselves aren't balanced. so how will they even think they could balance classes?

they said they wouldn't do it however.
it didn't seem like it was out of a balance concern but rather stubbornness

cant they see that build copying is hurting this game more than it helps it?

why make my own build when i can copy the next guy? and have the same powerful build.
