The single most important thing is more accessible SC lean armours. Not to suggest that you're wrong regarding the dearth of Water and Earth SC armours @Animenut1 (of course, we don't have many), but at least we do have accessible (i.e., always available, Gold cost) ones for those elements. Meanwhile, after five years since updated SC lean was released, we still don't have dedicated and accessible SC lean armours for Light, Ice, and Energy. As has already been said, Fungibushi currently covers for Wind, Ice, and Light. However, the latter two are secondary resistances: at Level 150, you take approximately 21% more damage than if you were to use an armour with Ice or Light as the primary resistance. And, unless you manage to pick up Angelic Robes during Frostval (which also costs a few tokens for the appropriate painting to boot), the next cheapest alternative for Ice/Light is an UR GGB ( Light-Qualia Timeless Guardian / Ice Necro Cavalry / Legion Dreadnought / Mirror Vordred / Chaos Slayer Cleric). You don't even have that option for Ice: without Fungibushi, it's straight to the UR GGBs. Energy is somehow even worse; there is no accessible Energy SC Lean armour at all, not even for secondary resistances. Unless you pick up Thunder Bride during Snugglefest, you are again only left with the UR GGB Infinite Darkcaster or the aforementioned Chaos Cleric. Of course, it's understandable that it would take time for accessible gaps to be filled — I don't think anyone was expecting each element to be filled with accessible SC lean armours immediately (or even within 12-24 months). Still, to be missing accessible primary element SC lean armours in 3/8 standard elements after half a decade is... well, it's simply completely unacceptable. Compounding the problem even further: if we didn't have Fungibushi, whose mechanics were devised by a player (@RobynJoanne) rather than the staff, we wouldn't (i) have an accessible Wind option either, and (ii) even secondary element options for Ice and Light. It's currently less of a 'pay-to-win' scenario with SC lean, and more of a 'pay-to-play' one. With regards to mechanics, I've been posting SC lean armour concepts on my suggestion thread fairly consistently for quite some time now. Since the start of 2025 alone, I've suggested ideas incorporating Drown and Sleep, Defence Boost and Caltrops, MP recovery, Bleed and Poison, Celerity and Defence Boost, Burn and Poison, and The Cold, covering Ice, Darkness, Energy, Wind, and Water as primary resistances. I think all of these statuses, elements, and mechanics would be great additions to the SC lean repertoire. It's not just me either: there are plenty of ideas out there to be used. One other idea — retrofitting armours. It's coming up towards the two-year anniversary of the Spellcaster lean retrofitting thread, and I have yet to see it lead to much progress. Perhaps it's time to revitalise the notion. To sum all that up, I suppose in direct response to the question posed by the thread: Yes. Beggars can't be choosers: I'd just like some SC lean armours that everyone can access for Gold, never mind the mechanics. EDIT: I recognise that the skill costing SP on the Chaos Slayer Clerics is less ideal for Mages, but it's also one of the few armours that can be utilised by SPellcasting non-mages. We need to think about those builds too.
