Hello, I just took my backup character up to level 150 through Lazyquest, so its equipment is extremely outdated. I am currently changing my stats for a beastmaster mage build and would really appreciate a full review before I start updating everything. I do have a house on my main character that I could sell for z-tokens if necessary, but I would mainly like to use those on my main account.

Character for review: https://aq.battleon.com/game/flash/charview?temp=80075195

And here is my main character in case it has any equipment that is advisable to transfer over to my mage character:

Thank you!!

Are you going for an FD or FO build?

Been a while since I did one of these...

First of all, the obvious. As an FD beastmage, you'll want 250 Int/Dex/Cha and Sol Neko subrace.

Weapons

Darkness has neither a tome, nor an irreplacable shield, so I suggest making that your no-drop element.

Healing Branch is a water tome that can attack, heal and cure DoTs.

Winds of Time is a wind tome.

Lightning Rod is an energy tome.

Loremaster's Tome is the only compression tome in the game. It has an earth spell, a light spell and a harm spell.

Ice doesn't have a tome, but Arctic Athame boosts the damage of your ice spells by 18.75%, with the bonus doubled if monster has Int>0.

Fire and darkness spells are compressed in D-Burst, and all the other elelments are covered by your tomes, so you have 2 slots for utility weapons, of which there are a great many. My personal suggestions would be:

- Havarti Blade (GGB, but only a Common one) gives you 50% chance of granting celerity to pet and guest after an attack.

- Nightbane Clawstaff summons an earth guest (toggles to lifesteal), which frees up a spell slot, at least until Mogloween.

Armors

Insightful Armor of Awe has a qc mana shield, which may be slightly more useful than UG robes.

Neko armors compress 2 elements (while remaining some of the best FD armors in the game), so with just 3 slots + no-drop, you can cover every element.

Paladin (Arcanist variant) has the strongest light guest in the game, as well as a number of useful active and passive skills.

Shields

Samukematsuri buckler (from your main) restores a bit of sp each time you're hit.

Celtic Wheel has an Int drive.

Fujin has a Dex drive, increasing the accuracy of all your weapon/spell/pet/guest attacks.

Pies has a Cha drive, making it perfect for beastmasters.

Sol Shield provides a minor damage reduction based on your Cha and gives you an extra Sol charge each turn.

Umazen Aspis gives Paralysis potence - great synergy with Fruitcake Zard and Mutant Egg pet.

Scarab Shell has a toggle to lower monster MRM, increasing the accuracy of all your attacks (including spells and beasts).

Spells

Destruction Burst is the strongest spell in the game for fire and darkness elements, consuming a bit of your hp for +50% damage.

Frigid Fury is a fairly generic ice spell.

Sizzler 'Splosion autohits, which can come in really useful against high-MRM wind mobs.

Fruitcake Zard returns to the Void in a few weeks. Paralysis toggle - great synergy with Umazen Aspis shield and Frostgale's Remorse misc. Until then, Abyssal Undead Hydra (Daze toggle) or Gaiden (heal toggle) should fill the niche.

Beat Bun-Banneret in the Void for a Bun-Banneret guest that toggles between dealing damage and boosting your blocking.

Nezujimbo. Freeze toggle - great synergy with D-Burst, Frost Effigy pet and Frostgale's Remorse misc.

Mogdin (returns to the Void in a few months) is the best paralysis guest in the game.

Ninja Lawyer Assassins toggle between inflicting Entangle, Bleed or dealing bonus damage for a gold cost.

P.S. Sugar Gobbler (coming back on Mogloween) has a petrification toggle, making it the best f2p earth guest available.

Pets

Underwyrmling is the only pet in the game that can harm monster sp.

Mutant Egg pet toggles between Paralysis and Damage Reduction, making it the best option for water, wind and energy elements.

Frost Effigy has a toggle to Freeze the monster and a Freeze potency, giving it great synergy with Nezujimbo.

Woolzard (returns to the Void in a few months) toggles between inflicting EleVuln and inflicting Sleep. Both modes can be enhanced for an sp cost. Until then, Morningstar pet is the best option, toggling to randomly inflict EleVuln or DefLoss.

Keep Fairy Godmother for light - her healing can come in handy in a pinch.

Model 294 toggles to inflict EleVuln.

Miscs

Essence Orb for sp.

Love Potion to have a qc stun, just in case.

Goggernaut Helm gives +10 bth to every attack on the field. This includes your pet and guest and doesn't have the usual /2 for spells.

Grakma Warhorn summons a fire guest that can inflict EleVuln. It also can inflict you with Berserk, which boosts your damage (without /2 for spells), though at the expense of accuracy - one of the strongest spell-boosting miscs in the game.

Clever Disguise is a beastmaster misc that sacrifices your turn and some sp to give guaranteed celerity to your pet and guest.

Frostgale's Remorse toggles between giving +20 bonus to inflicting Freeze and Paralysis.

Rejuvenating Necklace restores mp based on damage dealt.

When Snugglefest comes around again, pick up Sunburst Amulet. It gives Cha, Dex, Luck, +20 Burn potence and a powerful Burn-inflicting skill - great synergy with lvl 8 Neko passive and lvl 7 toggle.

Finally, if you decide to spend a UR on this character, Prime Chaos Orb is a great misc. It has a qc skill that scrambles monster resists, while also boosting all damage it takes and deals.

Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Bun-Banneret (location: void) contain great rewards for beast builds. You need to obtain them before 30/4/2021, otherwise you have to wait for Bun-Banneret to reappear.

Rewards for beating Bun-Banneret are 1000 Lance Strike, Bun-Banneret pet and Bun-Banneret guest.

Wow, I had no idea, thank you. So I should get all 3 of those?

If you do beat the Bun-Banneret, it is recommend you get all 3. The pet and guest are very useful for defensive purposes.

The boss is one of the most difficult and tedious void boss battles we have had. For bosses like that, you want to at least get all the equipment in the shop.

My main is a Beast Mage like yours, and it took me quite a while taking the boss down.
