The Sig/Avvy Testing Thread is currently undergoing some policy evaluations to maximize efficiency and figure out how to best tackle the problem of helping everyone with sigs and avvies. We ask that only Mods/AKs reply to sig/avvy testing. We will continue to edit posts with avatars or sigs that do not fit in the bounds with what will make them legal. It is your responsibility to check your post, and make the proper changes. Posting here does not exempt you from having your sig munched if it does break rules and a moderator finds it in another part of the forum unfortunately. If you post here and an AK edits your post, you will have one day's grace period to amend it before an AK can submit it to be removed. Thanks for your cooperation! As always, we look forward to helping you! Silverwing Shamelessly stolen from RATIONALPARANOIA: This thread is for testing your signature and avatar. This is not for rating or discussion of signatures and avatars. Pointless posts to up your count, will result in a severe warning and/or ban. Here is a helpful guide to making signatures: Forum Commands (screenshots, images, links, colors, signatures) If your signature exceeds the 500x100 size limit, you can use http://www.picresize.com/ to scale the image down to the appropriate size. A note on sig size: For an image signature use this template for the tags: [image]URL of the signature[/image] URL= the link to the signuture where you uploaded it to. If there is text beneath or above your image, you have to watch that the sum of the height of the image and the height isn't above the 100. Well, Pae's Detailed Sig Guide says: quote:
Pixel Stats for Text & Formatting (only height - For width, people need to compare to the graphic above.) - Default Text: 16px - None of the offered alternate font faces will make it go above 15px. For other fonts, people need to test that themselves.
- Basic formatting like bold, italics, etc. with the default text will also keep it under 15px.
- For font sizes (using the default font)
- 1: 12px
- 2: 16px
- 3: 18px
- 4: 22px
- 5: 29px
- 6: 38px
- 7: 59px
- However, note that there is absurdly little reason to use any font size above three, and the sig is likely to be removed for spammy qualities, if it does. A sig shouldn't draw more attention than a post after all.
- Quotes (all using default text with no size formatting)
- Without the use of the original tag: single line = 51px, max = four lines with the first line right next to the quote tag, three without being next to the tag
- Using the original tag (e.g. ORIGINAL: Pae): one line = 64px for a one line quote, max = three lines

13) "How do I get a custom avatar?" The ability to upload a custom avatar is granted to people with a Helpful or Creative title, ArchKnights, Moderators, and other staff members. It is also granted to some people for past service such as the old Grand Council, forum beta testing, etc. Debate Club Members, Advanced Roleplayers, and other group members do not get upload rights unless they have it from some other source. Some official contests will have a specific avatar as a prize that is not available other forum members. We limit custom avatars to certain people because otherwise the forums would be overloaded with even small images. quote:
