This thread will serve as the OOC for the Cellar Arena.

The entrants to this arena are listed below:

 Hi all- the Dreadnight has arrived!

As it currently lacks both capability & desire to offer introductions, it intends to just attack the next entrant to the room- feel free to anticipate its intent though, and strike/evade before it gets the chance.

Best of luck everyone, let's make it a good 'un!

Ryu's in the thick of it now! Just to clarify, I did check what Dreadnight would do with his sword with Mirai via PM, so my action is perfectly okay. How many make it off the stairs, indeed, hehe. Good luck to all participating, and let's make this EC one to remember.

Edit: Edited my post (with permission) since I forgot to italicize my character's thoughts. Ah formatting, how I love you. :P

As usual, the moment I post I see a typo I didn't find while proofreading... I blame being tired. Anyways, I'm fighting Mirai now and have cleared the way for the rest of the fighters. Disci, I didn't mention you 'cause I have no idea where you are.

 Just for those not currently on IRC, we've established that Na'aschi flipped over Dreadnight just before it ineffectively smacked Model-O65 in the side.

Just popping in to confirm that Tiure does not have a giant scythe floating around him; it's folded up and stored in the pack. One of the clouds seems as though it is degenerating a bit, though...hmmmm...

Tiure has a lot of preparation to do, but he does have his defenses set. I am kicking myself over not playing this current song outside, because then I could play one of the more important songs instead of playing this one, especially considering the nature of his fellow competitors. Oh well.

 So... having achieved naff all by smashing 65's side earlier, Dreadnight is now trying to... smash its side again. Relentless? Yes. Determined? Yes. Slow on the uptake? Umm... yes...

Just for clarification- there's a bit of minor heat damage to Dreadnight's armour from briefly conducting electricity, but I've assumed it isn't sufficiently significant in nature to open up any outlets for mana loss.

Rogue knife headed for either Dreadnight or 65, whoever wants to take it. Not that it should really matter to them.

Meathook coming your way, Starstruck. It'll hit the pillar where Tiure is, but is not an overly accurate attack, being ricocheted off the mirror and all.

N'aschi throwing a knife in Tiure's direction was discussed with Discipline, and agreed upon, and will be expanded on in Disci's next post.

Post up. It appears after a discussion with TD that the pillar Wintin fled to is not the same one as Tiure is currently hiding behind.

Could I request an edit to correct that little mistake and also to expand/clarify the situation with the rebounding knife in the area of combat between myself and Tiure?

First of all, pillars may not be hidden under. They go from ceiling to floor. Second, I will have to read the posts in question to fully make a judgment. I'll edit in the answer when I've read through it.

Edit: You may change the reference to the pillar you have made. As for the dagger you would like to modify, I see no part of your post that references one, and it needs to. Please make this change.

Well, .Discipline's post has left me thoroughly confused. Tiure has practically already escaped from the situation, but a collaborative effort is required to RP our way through the next bit and I can never seem to catch him online. If I still can't find him after tonight, I'm probably going to engage another competitor. Like Wintin or the empty golem.

My usual IRC hours are 5pm-9pm EST, which I do believe is 9pm-1am GMT. Play with time zones how you will to reach me.

Post is up! I neglected to mention the heat because he doesn't really sense it unless it gets through the stone layer. And the knife because I'm derp, so someone else will have to take it.

Well, that was quite a storm! Power's out at my house; we're using the local Yulgar's Inn to connect every so often. I'm sorry for the tremendous delay in responding; I assure you all that it really not be helped. There are 999,999 other homes without power in my county alone!

Collaboration doesn't seem like a particularly good idea at this point in time, at least for the next few days, but I'll be on at the usual times (I hope!) as much as I can. The post, by the way, is indeed up, so you can go ahead and take a quick look if you are so inclined. It's time to go to bed, I think ^_^;;

 And... postie!

A few points for clarity:

- as its difficult to RP 'grappling' without some bunnying going on, Dreadnight's actions have been agreed with Micosil in advance... along with the flavour of 0-65's probable response...

- once again, 0-65's electrical attacks have caused little in the way of physical damage to the Dreadnight (mental damage... that's a whole different ball game)

- there's a rather large shield flying through the air at Jonathan (not that the Dreadnight knows his name). The Dreadnight didn't have time to work out who chucked a bone knife at it, so its just picked another fighter to respond to at random.

Finally- hope you get power back soon Stars (that storm sound nasty).

Posted! Just to clarify, Ryu doesn't notice the Dreadnight throwing his shield since he's A. Not in its path, and B. More than a little distracted by a bit of pain. He's taking things a bit slower now, but he'll be all the more dangerous once he gets his chance.

Quick warning, if you're near the Golem you probably will have to deal with the shockwave's blast. Since we're pretty far apart in general I can't think of anyone it should hit, though.

Nevermind! I nerfed his AoE range in my last bio edit.

Posted. Starstruck , the air about one foot out around Tiure is no longer affected by sound waves or any other sort of vibration. You cannot hear through it or pass sound through it.

There is also an air-dancing scimitar headed your way. Good luck.

Oh, fudge moglins. I'm sorry, .Discipline, I didn't know that the barrier extended all around him. Such a restriction doesn't really apply to any of the actions in this post per se (except the loud note, because Tiure seems to think that everyone can hear him. Ha ha!), but I thought that the barrier was just a wall that prevented Tiure from hearing N'aschi and vice versa.

The reason his spells still work, just for all y'all's information, is because his songs are simply a channel for his spellwork. As a matter of fact, that silence might actually serve to disguise his future actions by keeping people from knowing which songs he's going to play next. Of course, if he has to keep a high level of concentration on that, it might get a little difficult to maintain his hold...

Anyway, posted. Enjoy. Does this arenawide catastrophe thing happen every year or just years where I'm involved?
