To start, welcome back. You have a lot to catch up to, and your character shows how much of a relic it is. Realistically, only your Defender's Necklace is the one worthy of keeping in your current arsenal. Doom and Destiny weapons outmode very quickly, and their appeal won't really be until you are on the level 85-90 range and DA at that.

Since you're an NDA character, it pretty much narrows what needs to optimize (and I had to do a quick check on content that I rarely access even when I'm nostalgic just to make sure I know what I'm talking about). And you have plenty of gold, so that's fine. Nonetheless, we need to keep gold expenditures to a minimum since stat training isn't exactly cheap, both for your character (20 gold per point, 1000 per instance to untrain. At your level, you should have 130 points, amounting to a total expenditure of 3600 gold if we need to update your stats) and dragon (training doesn't cost a thing, except Dragon Chow purchase, but untraining will cost 1000 gold). For stats and what they do, this link will provide the details to them as they are right now. While casual play does allow for any stat combination, it's best not to exceed 4 stats trained on your character to get decent results. Such can be difficult to do at your current level, so try not to exceed 3 trained stats.

If you can't spend the time to grind for merge (crafting) resources, any class accessory items from any class trainers except Tomix (he doesn't have a class accessory shop) will work. The majority of classes existing today that don't need DCs or DA (well, 50% of their skills anyway) are tied to an Elemental Orb saga, and their locations are where you can purchase their accessories. With the exception of DeathKnight (DK) items, they all can be purchased for gold, although I do recommend the DK accessories despite their grind since they're the only class accessories that stood the test of time (strong players can dare to upgrade them to the few level 90 NDA gear, but the level 80 versions are serviceable). Most items in Book 1 aged badly, both in art and functionality.

Next, clear at the least your character's ability to access Book 3 Falconreach. Doing so will give you decent access to modern stories and access to the Ultra Omniknight Blade, a powerful Light-element weapon that is very easy to upgrade. Since it's Frostval, clear the said seasonal until you can at least access Frostval version Chapter 4. They have better Silver weaponry compared to your Sterling Silver (and you'll need a relatively neutral weapon element anyway, just in case you encounter a being too resilient to Light).

For storyline progression, both Book 1 and 3 have a Timeline to help with that found in our Book of Lore (the book at the bottom center of the playing screen). Book 2 is a transitionary phase anyway, plus is inaccessible until you clear Book 1, so it's far more straightforward once you can do it. Be warned that Book 1's Timeline feature is proof of concept for now. The current devs, Dove (formerly known as Tomix) and Verlyrus (Verly, for short), plan to update and streamline that old arc once Book 3 is done. You can do the storylines at your discretion for Book 1, especially for accessing the classes to be highlighted in the next paragraph. Book 3 has some extra... impositions on them from time to time so as to make sure you're on the right track.

It is recommended that you have access to multiple classes. Base classes are, well, base as in basic, so you'll just be hard on yourself if you rely on them too much (unless you're seriously roleplaying, which is your own choice I won't discuss upon). Necromancer (clear Noxus Fumes in Darkness Orb), Pirate (Wind Orb, purchase Forged Papers for 1500 gold to unlock. No need to clear story), and Technomancer (Energy Orb, Level 20 clearance. A bit irritating to train) should offer a relevant kit for smooth progression.

As for pets, Stan the Scan Orb (that's a long way to access) our Pet Dragon, and Palachilly and The Necsnowmancer (both are atk/healing pets for Light and Ice respectively from Frostval Chapter 11) are currently the best for all. Our dragon pet takes full advantage of the Manual Pet Actions setting in Options, but you must have fed and trained them at least once to be able to use something beyond a normal attack. This link will provide exactly what skills the dragon has and which dragon stat to train in order to access them.

Helpful!

Hey, welcome back!

To add on, here's a guide for returning players, put together by Marthe: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g6AYyWQhVUi_wx3ITTMaBVzL2D6MZQ0bLfiGXcR1USk/edit

It might be a good idea to clear Frostval quests up to Chapter 9. Arc 29 quests reward you with Dragonblaser weapon which sells for 1.5k through 5k, making them an excellent way of farming gold.

If you're not looking to optimize, just playing quests and seeing what you missed is also great. You'll get some newer items, gold and levels, and get a sense of where exactly you want to take your character.

Also, I suggest you train some classes and try them to see what you like. Some classes can be better than the base class, even while some of the abilities are locked for non-DAs.
Deathknight, Dragonslayer, Soulweaver, and Togslayer (seasonal, but available right now) might be good choices.
