Do you think that, the identity of your in-game character, affects or represents the identity or slightly smaller form~ character~ of a person? I mean class mostly, and stats secondarily. Why yes or why no?

I started as a bounty hunter, I was stupid at the time though. I changed to tech mage first when I was a higher level (around 30); I always thought it was correct to be the logical type of person... to beat power with reason. Later I changed to a tactical mercenary in gamma (oh no!) I was huge... FAT... and I felt like a bully who was kind of the enforcer (but I still was understanding at heart). I then became suuuuuper greenrain13, a cyber hunter. It was that combo of bh/tm that attracted me... I just couldn't resist. I wanted to be the wimpiest guy out there and show my might. I wasn't one of the first CHs, but its grown on me as moss on rock does. I feel like an interracial child with a lot of potential and expectations to prove the world the theory of equality.

I used to be a BH. His char page is RebelNinjaX. Go search it up.

Basically, with no varium, I wasted countless credits retraining, and in the end, I was run bankrupt.
I looked on these forums, and all I saw was "Merc OP", and back in the day, "BunkerBuster OP!111!!!". So when the mult. accounts came up, I made a new Mercenary.

Needless to say, things went well (this was before delta). The default tank bb with hybrid was the most amazing combo build ever. I quickly reached level 30.

During all this time I actually was doing a TON of AExtra offers. The only reason my "alt" ChronosXVII has varium was that I actually totaled 10k artix points on the EVE of delta. So I quickly redeemed that in for the gamma bot, gamma bike, and the stun guns. Wisest decision.

But recently, as a full var tac merc, I grew bored. So I made another alt OmegaXVII, and made him a cyber hunter. Though unlike you Greenrain13, in that I'm using lower level weps, I have enjoyed the fun I have had with cyber hunter. Though it is majorly UP, it has been one of the more fun classes I have used in a while, the feeling you get when you've discovered your "perfect" build.

Now if only CH's could be buffed :D

For me, I associate TLM with schoolyard bullies. Hence, I became a CH, and now, a BM. Being the underdog and then winning gives you a huge sense of accomplishment. On the other hand, when you are a TLM, all you expect are wins, wins and more wins. So, when you lose once, its kinda upsetting, and you would start blaming factors such as luck and the RNG. So to be a happy person (thats what playing ED is for) , I play as a BM. After all, its just a game, and fun is what matters.

^ That is a great motto

I wish the TLMs how have nothing left in their arguments and say, "well why dont you just become a TLM" would understand what you just said.

You have earnt my respect

@Jekyll

Thats the sole reason I'm leaving BH for BM as a non var, I want to try the new fun classes, I've been playing BH for almost 2 years now, its getting q bit boring tho I win almost all my battles.

I actually understand what we're supposed to post here. Let's do this.

I'm a person who wastes little to no time in achieving a goal. Definitely reflected in my character. I tell myself "Alright, today I'm going to sit down and make 100 wins." I manage to finish in about 2 hours, move on to the next task.
Time and goals are the two most important things to me. Fair play, kindness, all those morals we are told to believe in, I tend to throw them out the window.
I was once told I had a "Blatant disregard for the emotions and reactions of others in your environment."
Couldn't be closer to the truth.
My character is a rule breaker. I've broken my fair share of rules (Nothing too serious, mind you. I have standards), have been told off, haven't learned my lesson. I doubt I ever will, but I'll pay the price one day.
We always do, you know.

@Jeykell *tips hat* that was very well said.

I am the type of person who is willing to do anything to win, get an A, be ranked first, get the money, etc. This definitely reflects my character because I will always choose the most OP class. When Tech Mages could heal loop, I played as a TM; when Mercenaries could tank and achieve 99%+ win rates with 5 focus tanking, I was playing mostly on my Mercenary account; when I saw the combination of Hybrid, Reroute, Frenzy, Smoke Screen, and Atom Smasher, I started playing as a TLM. I have three max-level varium accounts, so I test out every class and figure out which is OP.

Another in-game characteristic of mine is frequent healing, boostering, delaying the battle, not taking risks, etc. This also reflects my desire to win under any condition. I like the quote "the ends justify the means". I don't care how I achieve something, as long as I achieve it. The person with honor is not the one on top, the person on top is the one on top.

@gold and endtime I have no problem with people switching to the OP'd class to get wins and be on top. I do have a problem when they switch to that class and then complain when it gets nerfed. It's like complaining about getting arrested for taking steroids. Nerfs are going to happen and if you switch knowingly to an OPd class then you should have the maturity to accept that all great things come to an end and that you were getting nerfed eventually.

On-topic: I haven't really noticed the identity thing with the different classes. When I switch classes I experiment around with builds and almost always strength builds. I don't have a different identity or anything. I like hitting big numbers with any class I use. I like using a great strategy build to pull out a win that most people wouldn't get. It doesn't matter what class I use as long as it isn't a really OPd class like heal loop mages or TLMs. Neither of my class changes to those 2 lasted more than 1 day.

I like the variety that you get with BH. All I am after is a chance to win fairly.

I carried on as BH through the Looping time and the TLM op time. Lost more, but still survived. Changed build a lot (little at a time)

So I loose a few more. Happens. lol BUT I still have fun.

That for me is what a game does. Gives me fun but as fair as I can make it.

Now... I think it's the other way around. The persons character determines the persons character (lolseewhatIdidthere?).

I've always been a Warrior kinda person... just rush in and tank everything into oblivion. So I picked Mercenary, and man do I enjoy it!

I've always loved bounty. It used to by my fav class and when class change came around, I went BH from Merc. It was fun for a while, but then got boring. So, i decided to try out mage to see what it was like. I loved mage, mostly for my high support builds i used back then. I changed classes about 15 times overall untill delta. Delta, on the first day i went CH and i haven't changed since. It is the absolutely funnest class to use but yet the hardest. it takes SKILL something tactical mercs DON'T have. so yea. CH FTW all i ask is some kind of buff like make static better -.-" maybe unblockable, but yet unrageable.
