Looking for some feedback so I decided to post a Google Docs page.

This Google Docs page contains suggestions and ideas on the following

Custom Skill Trees:

Combat Ratings - Match Making System

let me know what you think, if you like it, and if there's anything you'd like suggest aswell.

NOTE: This Google docs page also has other suggestions such as Faction Improvements, NPCs, and other miscellaneous ideas which aren't balanced related. it also has pictures displaying some of the ideas and suggestions.

I am linking the Google Docs page because its much easier to link the page than to copy and paste and reformat everything for this forums.
and also because 19 pages of text wouldn't look good here.

Oh, looks like you will need to add Static Smash.

I think this works better in the suggestion forums, but the fact that classes are not a concern anymore takes massive weight off of balance problems. I will see if I can help improve this later on before I depart again.

ahh yes thanks for reminding me about static smash.

although this might be a little more complicated.

if players can pick between Atom Smasher or Static Smash, i dont see anyone choosing atom.
ill add it into the EP category until theres more opinions on it.
the same goes for field commander and blood commander.

these skills were made to be the same as their counterparts, only with a little boost in power/effectiveness in order to buff merc.

one of them may have to be scrapped, otherwise it wouldn't be balanced.

About Combat Ratings:

I Like this Idea alot, I would like that the Devs could try this system out to see how well it goes, And even more since most of the daily missions require 2v2 Battles and I've been having a lvl 30 partner with no stats and when I see that I get paired with a lvl 35, Boom He doesn''t have full stats and some wep is missing. I don't know if is possible to have a test server for us.

And about the faction Stuff, I have supported that for quite long time, I think you should RE-POST it on the suggestion Section.

i dont support the rare boost. i find it that having the rarity score is enough. i do think they shud be given special but not op cores tho.

My Reasoning for Rarer items to have a slight boost is that they cost more than regular items (Real cash and credits), as well as rewarding veteran players.
you can see the examples i provided.

and my opinion regarding the cores is, if we have a custom skill tree system, i would scrap the cores system. and make any "Innovative" cores into skills to be added later on. because creativity and variety will be there with custom skill trees. and right now there isn't any set standard for balancing cores besides changing their warm-ups or quantity of use.

by making cores a part of the skill pool, it would have a standard for balance.
I.e. Core 1 is the same type of core as Core 2, but Core 2 has Y more power/effectiveness than Core 1 which has X power.
Given that these cores are intended to be the same kind of cores, it would be reasonable for Core 1 to have the same power as Core 2.

Custom Skill trees would work well for adding in new skills.
and if you're careful, you can probably add a new type of stat as well without compromising balance since there isn't a class restriction.

take a look at Plasma Rain, Multishot, and Artillery.

they are all designed for damage across 2 targets, but each has different requirements and approaches. artillery being support, multishot being dex, and now plasma rain being dex. they're all meant to do the same thing via different routes and approaches.

a custom skill tree system would allow for newer skills to be added that have different routes and approaches. for example, a melee skill that improves with dex, tech, or support instead of the usual strength.
there's lots of possibilities and options with it.

EDIT: speaking of possibilities, i just remembered another one.
it opens up the possibility for new damage type and/or defense type.

I.e. Fusion Damage (Physical and Energy combined) which attacks both defense and resistance.
