<Character>: The leaves are starting to change colors and there’s a little nip in the air.
<Character>: I should be getting a note from the Cauldron Sisters about Mogloween soon too.
*Ash walks up to you*
Ash: <Character>!
Ash: This note just showed up for you. I think it’s from the Cauldron Sisters.
<Character>: Hah! Right on time. Thanks Ash.
Ash: No problem. If you’re heading over to Croft would you mind bringing back some candy for me?
Ash: I wanted to give Aria some.
<Character>: Sure. I’ll probably have to head over there now so I’ll see about getting you some.
Ash: Thanks!
*Ash walks away*
<Character>: Alright, let’s see what’s going on this year.
*A note is displayed. It says, “We just wanted to let you know that this year there shouldn’t be any issues! We hired Jack to defend us! He’s been doing an amazing job of keeping anything dangerous away from Croft so we can just focus on making candy. We’d still like you to come by to visit though! It just wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t here. Hope to see you soon!
~Bubble, Bubble, Toil, and Trouble*
<Character>: There shouldn’t be any issues…
<Character>: Yeah, that never happens. I’m gonna head over now just to make sure.
Fight the monsters on your way to Croft.
*Croft’s gate was zoomed out a little and then the screen cuts to the cinnamon tree where you arrive*
<Character>: I thought Jack was supposed to be keeping monsters away.
<Character>: There were still a lot on the path up here.
*At that moment, someone off-screen shrieks, HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!*
<Character>: That figures. I knew there were going to be issues.
*You run off to the direction of the shrieks to find Jack Strife constantly knocking on the wooden door.*
Jack Strife: Let me in!
Jack Strife: I need to get in there and stop it!
Jack Strife: I have to stop it!
<Character>: What are you doing? Get away from that door!
Jack Strife: You don’t understand, <Character>. I have to get in there!
Toil: <Character>, is that you?
Trouble: Help us! He’s gone crazy! He just started attacking the door!
Jack Strife: I’m trying to stop the...
<Character>: No, I’m going to make sure you don’t hurt the sisters.
Fight Jack Strife with an option to heal or run away before battle. After you defeat Jack Strife:
*Jack Strife sits under a tree, defeated.*
<Character>: Now stay there for a minute.
<Character>: Toil, Trouble, are you okay?
Trouble: Yes, we’re fine now, <Character>.
Toil: Hold on, I’ll get the door open.
Jack Strife: No...
<Character>: Don’t you try anything.
Jack Strife: You don’t understand. I saw someone sneak into the room. I was trying to get in to stop whoever it was.
Jack Strife: There’s been undead sneaking around earlier this week. I was afraid one had gotten inside.
<Character>: Why didn’t you just say that in the first place instead of bashing the door?
Jack Strife: I didn’t think about it.
Toil: There we go.
Toil: Jack, why didn’t you just say so? We would’ve let you in if we had known.
Jack Strife: I’m sorry. I just was so focused on trying to stop whatever it was.
Trouble: Well now that that’s cleared up...
*Myx is sleeping in the house. To his left, there is a figure hiding in the shadows. She proceeds to pour a potion in a purple bottle in him.*
Trouble: There shouldn’t be any issues with this year’s candy now.
