We all know that there will be class hoppers to abuse the strength stat to try to undue the positive changes to fireball so everyone will say fireball is too powerful when it is Bludgeon that does them in. I tested fireball at every strength level and it seems like it is just right but if they go too high they will be vulnerable to heavy damage and a lot of losses and they deserve it.

Intimidation is still questionable because I decided to try it at level 10 on a NPC that does physical damage, the chairman, either his strength is so high or Intimidation was not working he was able to take over half my health with double strike.

Something that needs to be looked at and the damage tapered off is Hatchling Rush not only it does large amounts of damage if not blocked which it is abused by level 40 players not saying they only abuse it but they can while having high health. This is bad for 2vs2 or 2vs1, Lowers the amount healed by your opponent by 50% for 3 turns (rounded down). you get attacked for 6 times before you can gain the ability to use 100% of healing.

Now with these changes to fireball the Blood Mage can have more viable combo builds they either needs to come up with a new multi for the Blood Mage or make changes to Plasma Rain because it is pitiful in 2vs2 or 2vs1 for the amount of energy.

It's fine thay NPCs give xp back making them give wins is really silly.

Also daily 1v1 should definitely not include NPC wins terrible change.


As already mention, NPCs wins is separated from 1v1 wins. However, this tracking only applies to days going forward, and is not retroactive like couple other features in the past. NPC wins will not count towards the daily.

Charfade, Nightwraith, Rabblefroth, and Titan are level 40 as of this update.

@Hun Kingq: Try equipping the Platinum Pulverizer when fighting the chairman. Without it, he'll do insane regardless you use Intimidate or not.

Level 40 PSA: Frost Demon is better than bosses to farm if you aren't worried about being efficient with the cost of buying boosters, or aren't using boosters, if you only care about speed and not about burning through your 100 npc wins quickly.
Less credits/xp per win, but you can get 40+ wins an hour off of him easily.

Seem to be a good update. The best part is that NPC exp gain is back.

Im missing the changed robot damage calculation in the Design Notes.
My robots now do 5 damage less.

Sounds like I will need to redesign my build again, the only problem with this creeping reform approach is I am constantly having to redesign my build whenever I am going to play. Still I suppose it allows us to gradually get used to the changes and can highlight further issues in the balance section of the forums.

By the look of it tactical mercs now with a high strength build with field commander seem to be the most useful TLM combination, since toxic grenade has been altered and field commander as well as frenzy buffed but I will need to work out some numbers before I consider changing. Also tactical mercs can probably rely on a sword now more easily than other classes, might be worth testing. Any other suggestions for tactical mercs to base a build on?

First though I will need to sort out my inventory, since certain items began to count as of a few weeks ago my inventory is insanely full. I used to keep gems from all the wars in large numbers as an emergency reserve in case I spent all my credits and something new came out, guess I will just need to be more restrained in future since I will now have to sell most if not all of them.

Thanks for clearing stuff up mecha mario and trans.

It is a major relief to know NPC wins aren't counted as PvP wins.

I am liking the sound of the balance changes however,

I hope they focus on balacing the black abyss cores some time soon.

Look at that, an Update that is actualy on level of being called a Balance update.
I still don't get why they kept Assimilate as it is now meaning being able to drain max even on Block
and the fact Hatchling Rush still hasn't been "fixed", I mean even Azrael's gun effect didn't stay in game as
broken as it was before as long as the Hatchling effect.

everything else seems good on paper, time to see how good it is in action

^ Well, so far, I can tell you that TLMs aren't garbage anymore. Playing on my L31 TLM, I can actually compete in PvP which I couldn't before. Same build, well -2 Poison go bump up Blood Sield instead. Having faced some TMs, they are also a bit more beatable 'cause the difference adds up over time, and BHs are - again - less of a threat; especially dat Smoke + Tech synergy.

BigTuna is the safest and viable NPC to farm on. He's level 38 and has only 1750 hp with squishy defenses compared to the recently buffed/nerfed NPC's by their level.. I recommend every player should farm him instead of Electro Hazard, Frost Demon, Titan, RabbleFroth, Nightwraith or any other NPC at high levels

That should be either a 2000 varium or 150,000 credit feature. It has to be some kind of premium feature because people who do not show their records will be considered somehow "lesser" then people who have records with unusually high win rates.

I have noticed that after the release of the Legendary whatever, they still didn't solved the problem about having to face Rank 6 "Legends" Despite being level 35...

Not really...
It's still effectively Pay for easy wins...
First we got the Azrael Will guns and Auxs
after a while they nerfed it
now we have the Hatchling ingame
again an Op effect which is only avaiable if you shell out money.

Almost forgot about the Dread Auxs

One thing I'd like to see is when you click your opponent, the rank logo moves closer to their wins to cover up the blank space. It just looks ugly right now.
