Just for note since this was already discussed on Discord:

According to my current Gold List, there's around 5.6 trillion gold out there to be donated. I honestly thought that without the stretch goal, we probably would have hit 4 trillion anyways given the pace over last year's contest total pot ( which I also have tracked). If it were easy enough to do, we could easily hit 7 trillion if there were enough proper incentives to do so.

If we wanted to effectively increase this stretch goal, there are a couple things we could be doing:

1. Add continuous prizes: Currently after you reach the top thresholds, unless you just wanted to there's no reason to donate as much as you can. I had this simple idea where every 5-10 billion gold you donated, you get 1 free common GGB. It's probably not the greatest incentive, but it's the one that would at least give a reason to go beyond. Not to mention this would also give reasons to people who wouldn't win anything at all to participate. Basic participation prizes don't really work that well, and neither do the daily prizes because people only end up donating the minimum anyways and then stop afterwards. Continuous prizes on the other hand would give people palpable milestones to reach from now until the end of the contest.

2. Make it easier to donate: Farming is already hard. Donating gold is even harder. Due to various issues and self-imposed limits, it takes around 40 seconds to a minute to donate the maximum 100m gold. If you want to donate a lot of gold, then you need to wait equally as long around in a very tedious setup to do so. I've been told that apparently, this cannot happen but it's still worth pointing out since a lot of people have complained that this is one of the reasons they didn't donate as much as they could have or would have.

3. Increasing the top cut slots: This is probably the most controversial of these ideas. At least for the summer contest, increasing the top cuts from 15 -> 30 did not reduce participation. If anything it even increased the activity because more people were incentivized to participate. I'm thinking of a minor increase from 50 -> 60 and 100 -> 110 and 150 -> 160. I'm thinking that if there's more top cuts, there's actually more reason that people would participate if they feel like they have a much greater chance to get into the top cuts.

I like the stretch goal idea! I'm confused if it's the same reward for hitting the gold and token goals, though.

@PD It's too late to change the top cut slots for this contest imo. Changes like that should happen before the contest starts. Also, I think we're in a pretty good place for donation tiers right now.

I would like to see perhaps a CC or recolor version of the weapons for top 15 gold/token though! Would encourage the token whales (like myself) to close the gap, and lead to more donations.

The easiest answer should be to recode the gift amounts.
The minimum would be
100K,
the Maximum 1Billion.

The number of times I get 100 gold is just so annoying.

I mean .....people are not actually choosing to donate so little.
It is just that they pressed the donation button too many times, just to get to the gifting....

The war is over. And they duct taped my gifts and super glued them, and vacuum sealed them. I'm gonna have to take a hammer to this if they don't reveal the secret method to get them open already.

Congratulations on delivering all the gifts! Regarding the armor reward: We're aware of a bug with the attack skill on Horror mode causing it to deal less damage than it should. Kam has been adequately poked, prodded, and marinated.

Congratulations! Frostval has been saved thanks to all of your combined efforts! The Frostval gifts have all been delivered and soon the Guardian Gifts will open. Right now it is looking like Saturday but I'll keep you folks updated if that changes. There will be MP and SP versions of the spell, but there was only 1 Giftbox Spell this year. After the gifts open, the SP version of the spell will remain in the Giftbox Shop for the next month so no one should miss out if they want both versions.

I don't know if this is the right thread for this, so apologies if it's the wrong one, but uh...does anyone have any tips for beating the Hard Bake Oven? I can't seem to compensate for the massive hp regen it gives itself, and it turns into a battle of attrition that I absolutely can't win.

backlash worked on an alt character but sorta brute forced it on main. celerity and dealing high damage helps. was a bit of an annoying fight with the regen.

also if you can damage enemy sp before the regen special is used, the fight is easy

I don't know how much of that I can use, but I'll try again tomorrow. I do know that statuses like the Hibernation Scythe has, that take an enemy's turn and make them more vulnerable to certain elements, have an interesting property: the Hard Bake Oven still gets to take its turn, but it get hits with a status that prevents it from generating SP for a few turns. Unfortunately, I had a terrible time getting the status to proc, so that was a problem.

The nice thing about Harvest Hibernation Scythe is that its ability to inflict Windswept is not just based on RNG. It also has a skill that lets you pay some SP to have a guaranteed chance to attempt to inflict Windswept. You also have Emerald Rain to inflict Emeraldize, another Freeze status that stuns the monster. With these two combined, you have both an SP and an MP method to inflict a stun on Hard Bake Oven. If it cannot act for a turn, it gains a status that prevents it from gaining SP or using its SP attack that gives it its Regen for three turns.

For less guaranteed stuns, you have your Werewolf No-Drop, which can attempt to inflict Fear, which has a chance to stun Hard Bake Oven. You also have Fear spells from Necromancer (Necromancer also provides a Paralyze guest, but since your linked character doesn't have Cha, it's not very useful for you).

You should use Underwyrmling, a pet you can only get from wicked king challenge mode.

Also, I must recommend using rainbow raygun to randomize the hard bake oven's resistance so underwyrmling can dmg it's sp effectively. That will prevent it from using hp regen skill.

This is not supposed to be a game that you can only play if you have all the mega super duper, suped up, and hard to get equipment!
Offer a boss with less regeneration for the casual player.....

It doesn't take any optimized or hard to obtain loadout. All it takes to trivialize the boss is to inflict a stun condition. As a quality of life thing, though, I'll suggest an explanation status description for the Unstoppable effect.

How do you inflict a stun condition, when the Boss has stun resistance?

In Guardian Equipment attunded to Fire elemen, with a Fire shield to get 6% Fire resistance, and switching the Boss to 150% defence against Fire Damage .....
After 35 potions, 5 Guardian dragon attacks capped at about 2000, the monster was back to full HP.

PWD finally happended, after about my 400th attack, so the boss was defeated.

He may have Stun resistance, but it's not Stun immunity, so it's a matter of just getting lucky on infliction. I finally beat him just now, and it was thanks to a combo of Emerald Rain and Celerity from the Shadowfeeder Pendant (needed the extra turns to try ER after he resisted the status and to use health and mana potions). Also used Ally Assists to do Big Numbers; Zorbak to make Undead and then Artix for damage numbers, and when I ran out of assists it came down to Shadowfeeder Celerity for extra turns to take an opportunity to use Kindred's skill. Nearly got my face handed to me doing that last part though, so not sure I'd recommend it!
