Welcome to my gallery!



Since it's the second anniversary of me being sober from AQW — and also the birthday of my character —, I've decided to re-open a gallery on the forums in the more general category instead. With all the resentment gone, I feel like the legend of Lukrecia's escapades can continue to live on; a fresh start if you will.

Like in the previous gallery of mine, I'm going to continue with the tradition of embedded images working with the restrictions of the forums (500x500/800x600 header - 100kb) instead of contributing to the ever-growing link rot, although I may include external-links to higher definition exports if I see it's too much to the detriment of image quality. I have no particular style or format in mind yet, so we will see how it all goes as it unfolds.
Hopefully this can serve as a fun little experiment. Enjoy!

The Castle



The Castle of the Lady Lukrecia stands south of Granemor at the very edge of Darkovia. The air here is dense with the vile scent of blood, so much so it feels almost like a fog. If you get close enough at nighttime you can even see the setting Moon, painted red by all the blood, while if you turn around you can see the spectral one clear and bright white on the other side of the horizon. Quite poetic if you think about it.

Oops, I've been neglecting this page, it seems. In any case, here's a bit of a landscape painting. Thought I'd introduce the setting a little first.

Excuse the Lilim



The Lady Lukrecia is attended to by a troupe of low-level lilim maids. They can get pretty handsie with guests, but they're just curious. Also don't let the cooing and cawing sounds fool you, they understand you; they just like to… ignore what you say.

When I was still playing AQW I used to have these Maid Lilims and Shadowsleigher House Guards around, I like their designs. I like to think they're a bit animistic in their behavior, not entirely human-like.

The Vampire Queen



The Lady Lukrecia has a lot of memorabilia of the vampire queen. A lot. She is quite obsessive about her, in fact. You know, I'd even call that an understatement. Paintings of her on the castle walls, statues of her in the garden, books, plushies, a... cardboard cutout. It makes sense given she was the reason behind who she became, but there is a point where one has to step back and admit they have a problem...

The forums are about to close down in a few months, so I'm trying to knock out a few more entries here while I can. This was sitting around in my drawer for years now, so I decided to make a full painting out of it.

What can I say, Safiria was my childhood crush way, way back during the AdventureQuest days. She (well, the person behind her) even helped me recover my account, that did not help the matters either. Lukrecia was always a bit of a parody of that parasocial childhood obsession.
